I remember experiencing this when I divorced my ex. It felt weird to be able to not focus on his meals. Kinda freeing, but it did make me aware of the fact that I put my needs/wants last. I still do, because I tend to now make sure that there is food that my daughter likes...and then food for the kitties....and then I'll have "whatever".

T has been talking to me about that recently, trying to get me to make myself more of a priority.

Thanks....Another wave of sleepiness just hit me. I hate that. I am hoping that I'll leave here feeling awake and alert so I can feel safe going home. With the weather and rush hour traffic, I'm sure it's going to take me longer than usual to get home.

...2 more hours before my relief arrives....

Hey Mue....good to see you made it this long...

It will be over soon...maybe when you get to your car you could sit in it and snooze a little before you drive home... A little gas used up is better than an accident....
Thanks for this!

Thanks, RTS!

My patient is supposed to have two procedures this morning, but we don't know what time. Even though she wanted me to stay with her during the procedures, I reallllly hope that they occur after I leave. The last thing I want is to be forced to stay longer because we don't do shift changes in the middle of a procedure. So, if I go in, I'm stuck until the procedure is over.

I will definitely not allow myself to drive if I'm not alert. I could sleep in my car - or go to my sister's house (she lives less than 10 minutes from here) - but I'd really just like to make it home so I can feed the kittens and then sleep.

I wonder if my driveway and steps will be covered with snow or if the rain had any impact....

MUE-I hope you get rest...

Healed, I'm glad you got out. Glad you had a good time

RTS-Sorry you have to take your kid to work, maybe you can put him to work

Photo-thinking of you and hope the talk was productive

StopDog- Pittbull? Nah......hehe

CC-Are you freed from the ice storm?

Good morning folks

I'm all upset because we are supposed to get another 2-4 inches of snow early in the day tomorrow and my T appt is at 11. I guess I should text my T and ask her if we will play it by ear. I'm not happy about snow getting in the way of my appt. especially since I'm off on Tuesdays. Will have way too much time on my hands to actually think about stuff.

Morning couch.

I slept in a little, since I didn't have C this morning, and it felt good. I guess I needed the rest. I am off next weekend, so I should be able to relax a little more than I did this weekend. I have been go-go-going for so long, relaxing is probably a good thing.

MUE, I hope you made it through your shift and aren't too tired to drive home. Be careful on the roads.

Healed, glad you had a good time at book club. It's a good thing you were able to get out and enjoyn yourself and get your mind off of things. Don't feel guilty about it.

Jersey, I hope the snow holds off tomorrow, so you can have your appointment.

RTS, maybe they will cancel your older son's school too. If they do, would he be old enough to stay home with your younger son while you go to work? Or would the 2 fight and kill each other?

CC, I hope you are able to get out of your place, so you and the dog are not cooped up too long. I have never been/lived somewhere where you can get snowed or iced in...but it sounds like it would suck. I have been trapped inside during/after hurricanes and that sucked, so I assume it is along the same lines of suckiness.
Thanks for this!

Hey couchies. I've had a cold for over three weeks now - it's getting a bit old. And my self loathing is overwhelmingly strong, to the point where I don't dare bring it up with T for fear of overpowering him, and in any case I don't deserve his help.

I hope those afflicted with bad weather will get some relief from that. Schools are never cancelled because of snow, here, but sometimes because of storms - that happened last Friday, though the storm turned out much less severe than they had feared it would be. A year ago all buses were cancelled for about 12 hours in my home town due to heavy snow but I think that had ever happened before, in my lifetime anyway.. Our weather is just not very dramatic, I guess.

I just text T already sharing my concerns about the predicted weather and if I'll have an appt tomorrow. I asked her if she is just going to wait until the morning to make a decision on if we will have the appt. Yuk.

Well, I am off to pack my lunch and leave for work. Please let the "little devils" behave with the sub today. I don't need more stress than usual.

I may pop in on my lunch break, if not I'll catch up when I get home tonight.

I hope everyone has a good day/afternoon/night/whatever applies to you.

Thanks, Jersey. I'm trying to think of what I'd think if somebody else - anybody else - on these boards were to write that.... I'd be all "you totally deserve help", so maybe I need to apply the same thinking to myself. Maybe.

Let us know what your T says? I hope you will get the appt.

Thanks, couch peeps!

I completed my 24 hour shift and made it home safely! Whew! I have 3 hours before my daughter gets home from school. I'm leaving my front door open and my neighbor will get her from the bus when she picks up her daughter. I'm going to go catch some zzz's....

((( Jersey ))) - I hope the snow doesn't impact T....I certainly understand the anxiety that produces.

((( Mast ))) - I hope you can let T help you with this and that you find relief soon.

When I asked T if she is going to wait until morning to decide if she will go into the office-she said yes she is. She told me whatever feels comfortable for me come tomorrow's weather..so I guess we wait and see. Snow is expected to start in the AM and go until noon.my appt is 11am so I'll be right in the middle of it if I go there. Her office is only like 25-30 minutes away depending on traffic.

Maybe just incase I cancel I will go out after work and buy a box of hot coco, whipped cream and some other comfort junk food. Cool ranch Doritos, anyone? Yum.

I lost 3 more pounds..something is medically wrong. I've been eating like a horse. My belly burns a lot. Like its on fire.

One time in kindergarten we were lining up for our teacher to take us to the bus after school, and she counted wrong, she thought I was in line, but I was still cleaning up our play area. So she shut the lights off, locked the door and led the class out shutting me in, unable to get out. I pounded on the door crying, thinking how my mom was going to kill me. Then I had to pee so I went to the bathroom inside the room and I ended up overflowing the toilet, so I stood in the corner pants down crying. My teacher came back ten minutes later to this sight.

It's all funny now.

I have an online meeting.... Ugggg
Daeva , your school stories ( yesterday and today) sound awful and it's terrible that you were locked in and also that you urinated in class because the Teacher wouldn't let you go, hopefully the teacher was in trouble both times.

Ya think? Im still mad at the kindergarten aide who, when she asked me my phone number, and i answered, "555-54-53-52-51" just said, "Thats too many numbers; you dont know your phone number." and neglected to see that i was doing numerical patterns and was some kind of genius. Your teacher couldnt even freakin count. You were already overly-responsible, still cleaning up, doing HER job - what was THAT about?
