looks like I missed out on a lot of fun being born in the 80s!

I was born in 79 but lots of 70 stuff was carried over to the 80s. I had click clacks. I loved those!

I was born in 77 and I have neither seen nor heard of a click clack until I read this thread.

Click clacks were on a short rope with wooden balls on the end.

Then...they came out with plastic ones, I believe that had a handle on them..but I think they may have been called knockers? Not sure..ill try to find a pic.

I can't wait to go home and sleep. Screw taking my AP tonight. There is no way I can down at least 350-400 calories when I am sick to my stomach. Hopefully I won't regret not taking it tomorrow. But for now skipping it is probably best as I would probably just puke it up anyways. 15 more minutes as long as they are home on time. Thank god I am almost done.

Am stopping and getting tylenol on the way home just in case mine is expired. That should help my headache. I probably have a fever too if I have the chills. Won't know until I can get home and take my temperature though. Wonder if there is any over the counter anti-nausea medication. If there is I wonder if I would be able to stomach it. I hope I feel better tomorrow. If not it looks like I will be calling my dr and keep my fingers crossed that they can get me in that day.

Maybe I will get some juice on the way home too. Orange juice would probably irritate my throat more as it is acidic. But maybe some apple juice or regular (purple) grape juice. That is probably better to drink than just water if I am unable to eat. At least I am getting some nutrients then. I don't have a stuffy nose or sneezing, so I doubt this is just a cold. I've never felt this horrible in my life. I think having to work all day instead of sleep is really taking its toll on me right now.

5 more minutes and I should be able to go home. Please let them be home on time.

I think the first click clacks were made of acrylic. They would sometimes shatter and were altered to be safer. We allso played with lawn darts, or Jarts. These were banned.

No worries Jersey. I got so much stuff wrong in my post, I almost had to erase the whole thing. I love the internet. It helps my failing memory .

I had a portable boom box like the one John Cusak had in that movie SAY ANYTHING. We used to carry them around the streets in the city and play them really loud while walking around.

The 70s had Annie Hall, Manhattan, the first Star Wars and Saturday Night Fever.

Well... I am home. They got home at 6:15. I stopped by Walgreen's on the way home. Got some generic tylenol and some generic pepto. Most of the stomach stuff said for heartburn and acid reflex. But the pepto also said it could be used for nausea so I figured that was the best choice. I also got some throat drops to suck on for my sore throat. I got some juice as well. Hopefully I will be able to keep it down.

Well, I am off to nurse myself and find my thermometer so I can see if I have a fever. Then to try to head to bed. I'm sure sleep will help. Hopefully I will feel better in the morning and not have to call the dr. Keeping my fingers crossed.

There is a strain of the flu going around that makes you feel terrible for awhile, but there is nothing they can do for you - just sleep and liquids and time.

Just took my temp. I have a fever. 99.2 which is high for me as my normal temp is around 98.0

Better go take some tylenol. Hopefully it will help the headache and bring the fever down. Okay...off to get some sleep.
