wow. I have never heard anyone say Boston was cold in July before! It's a lot hotter than the cape, all those big buildings block the sea breeze.

I live on turmeric. I put it raw into my juices, soups and stews...I take 500mg day by capsule, I sprinkle dried turmeric on my oatmeal. I think it's the single thing that dropped my cholesterol 95 points. It's amazing as an anti-inflammatory, H and D prefer it to ibuprofen for headaches and such. As severe as D's arthritis is, she doesn't take medications as long as she has her daily turmeric and vit D3. Like anything else, it takes a few weeks to build up in your system.

You also need D to absorb the calcium correctly. BUT...I was thinking with your cold icy weather, people probably fall more frequently leading to more hip fractures.

I am very interested in how different diets effect health issues. It's quite amazing.
Like CE's area has one of the lower rates of OP, even though it's a high rate of animal protein consumption. I was thinking that it's warmer there, more vit D and less falling?

I don't know...but the studies are on spread sheets, and cool spreadsheets with lots of data give me a high.
We do get quite a lot of sunshine. (But still not enough. ) How do we rate on sunburn?

I feel fortunate to have Medicaid as my only coverage, because it really does cover almost everything, with very few co-pays. Plus, I asked my doctors to write prescriptions for some of my over-the-counter vitamins and supplements, and now some of them are paid for through Medicaid. When I first applied for disability, I found that because I stayed home with my kids when they were little, I didn't have enough work credit hours at that point to qualify for SSDI. But, I have SSI now and am very grateful for what I do have. I hear your frustration. I can see how expenses really do add up quickly.

Hey Granite. I'm glad to see you had a bit of a breakthrough with your T. And your kitties are soo cute. I can't seem to remember what it it is like to be in a cold place anymore.

I am watching bassoon youtube videos and trying not to go write bashing things on therapist's blogs. I find I really hate therapist bloggers and then I can see the one I see who I already am iffy on acts like those condescending patronizing clueless jerkwads.

I recommend the Breaking Winds group and the Super Mario Bassoon Quartet for fun bassoon.
Oh that is redundant - all bassoon is fun - but these are sort of light hearted.

Is there nothing the bassoon cannot make better?

For you Ike

(although I confess I find this just about as annoying as I find the real jimi hendrix.)

Long time ago, I used to violin in the school and community orchestra. I'm abit rusty now. I'd love to play mandolin though.

And my advice would be to put your foot on her neck and have her cry out for mercy before crushing her like a bug.

Just different approaches.
