The Couch - Welcome to the Psychedelic 70's

Time to accept that my mood doesn't relate to any external factor, not even the weather. It might as well be random. Sometimes I'm up, sometimes down. There's no reason.

Trigger warning: swooning over T.

I am simply awed and humbled by the care and love T has for me. My session started out badly, but she used it to teach me something important. Not only is she trying to help me be a better person, but also a good T. I appreciate that.

Then she did something that might stun those of you who read my posts when I was here before. She always bristled at any mention of being a mother figure to me, so I haven't brought it up in over a year. Today I told her that although I knew she didn't like it when I call her a mother figure, I thanked her for being a good mother figure to me. She chuckled then looked at me and winked. She said, "Well, I have always liked being a mom."

I couldn't be more fortunate.

Got home a little while ago and lit the fireplace. COLD. COLD. COLD.

I have a warm blankie, a cup of chamomile tea and a book I've been trying to finish.

I did have the best raw vegan sandwich ever at lunch though.

Really freakin cold out there. My fingers finally got cold in my gloves - i had to put my hands in my coat pockets. They're just knitted acrylic gloves. Im gonna have to wear a 2nd pair as liners. I'm still waiting for my toes to defrost.

I am but mostly because it is making all of my pets into nutballs.

A little bit of freezing rain and the city of Houston freaked out! Not even snow, just rain... Weird how some parts of the country are so vastly different then others. I'm over winter too bring on spring.

I am but at the same time kind of enjoying the feeling of extra heavy blankets on the bed and warm fuzzy slippers and robe. Seems like (for me personally) that there are more ways to self soothe in the winter.

Thank god chopin put that trigger warning on. I almost read the post.

I'm sitting at my dining room table and I start thinking...why is it so cold in here? I look over at the heat register and this is what I see....

Not really, no. It's not about my T, as in therapist, though, it's about my therapy. My therapist isn't doing anything wrong.

It feels stupid to write this because it's obviously not going to help you in any way, but I guess I just wanted to say that I really hope things work out for you. You're always so supportive of people here (myself included) and you deserve some peace.

I'm in a pretty dark place right now and it's hard to write anything. I'm sorry I'm not able to be more open. I know it's frustrating that I am so closed off.
