There is room for everybody on Couch 72

I'm sorry you couldn't sleep, chopin. That sucks. I was working until 10pm and went straight to bed after that, so it took me a long time to wind down enough to go to sleep. But today is the first really sunny day in I can't remember how long (and the sunlight is warm! That is always such an awesome thing, when the sunlight starts to feel warm in spring) and the birds have started singing again after their winter silence. So I'm doing pretty well, despite being tired.

Morning all...
I am in mommy and grandma heaven! I slept SO well last night, with all my kids and grands under one roof. I'm loving it.

Now off to go play a video game with my GS...

I think puns are an abomination.
I had a lover who was into puns.
It was painful.

I feel like i have something in my eye. I hate when that happens. And back to the dermatologist tomorrow. I still look like i have clown lips. He better fix them this time. Wtf. How hard is his job?? Identify the cootie. Kill the cootie. Dont leave me looking like an idiot for months. Im not happy. Im very crabby.

I did it. I finally did it. I'm getting referred to someone else. I think my therapist and I agreed that I should try psychodynamic therapy (even though he doesn't fully agree with that kind of therapy). I told him how scared I was of making the wrong decision and he smiled a little and said "or maybe this is the best decision you could possibly make. Maybe you'll find a therapist who really understands you and maybe psychodynamic therapy will be perfect for you. And if it doesn't work out you're more than welcome to come back here. Then maybe you'll be more motivated to give CBT another go."

I'll see him again in two weeks to discuss what he's going to write to the people who referred me in the first place and then we'll see what happens. He said he'd be up for seeing me until I've got a new therapist (not sure when that'll be).

Go you!! I think that was absolutely the righ tthing to do.

Thanks, Mastodon. I hope it's the right decision. It was actually quite nice to hear that I can come back later if things don't work out with the new therapist. Still scared though.

I put some concealer on, i almost look normal. And i found an errant hair on my eyelid, tweezed it off and i feel much better now! Not so crabby now!

There is nothing like sitting in a college library to make you feel old....where did those 25 years go?

Listening to K-LOVE right now and it is really getting me through my really tough day.

what went on today

A lot of things- I got into a big fight with my parents, couldn't find a parking spot when I was going to Therapy session today (and ended up about 15 minutes late because of it), and then when I asked my Therapist for a hug since I was having a very tough day she told me that she didn't do hugs.

And nothing like sitting in the city library killing time to make you feel homeless! I went there today to get out of the cold waiting for my zipcar to time in. I was not going to wait outside ten minutes in minus ten F windchill! Now im sitting in starbucks waiting for the bus. Life could be worse!
