So glad to hear this, SD.

I am messing around with nut milks and roasting the pulp for nut flour.
Cooking some iffy chicken - will see if it is still good.
Sitting or lying down is painful so I am not spending as much time on the computer.

SD..sorry you are in so much pain...

We had someone in work with back issues and they gave him a desk that he could raise to standing...he spent lots of time working standing up.
Thanks for this!

I just got a desk like that. It does help.

T and I were talking about what he was going to share with my new doctor as far as what my dx is, and the details of all of that (last suicidal episode, si) so t said again my dx.. Panic disorder, PTSD, BPD.. And I know of all them they aren't surprises to me.. But thinking about them just make me angry... It makes me mad to know I have all of those conditions..

Anybody else get angry about their dx??

Strangely enough it's the other way around for me. I get frustrated about people not telling me what my diagnoses are. When I was assessed about a year ago the psychiatrist told me I meet the criteria for four disorders (I know which ones they are) but no one has ever told me if I am officially diagnosed with those things. I guess I am but I'm not sure. It makes me very frustrated since I feel like I can't categorize things and understand things unless I know what's wrong with me. Not sure if that makes sense someone other than me.
Thanks for this!

Yeah I sometimes wish I was normal, but I know I'm not.

That's how it is apparently supposed to work. And people often seem to think that being more open is a success. I just know that for me it isn't, and I was very pleased when I realised that I seem to be getting better at maintaining the distance. I just hope that once I have to stop seeing T, I won't get back to where I need to confide in other people.
My T keeps suggesting that it might be a good thing for me to be more open about my emotional life with H. Fortunately for me, H isn't interested anyway, and I can't even imagine how things would be if he were. Like living under a smothering blanket of control, I imagine.

I don't think "normal" really exists. My T agrees.

I feel such a fool for signing it in the first place.

PS: Oh well. It's all academic until I get a job offer I actually want to accept. Interview Tuesday.

Watching rain delay coverage of the Daytona 500 and they were showing an interview with Danica Patrick, and I never really realized this but I think that my Therapist looks a lot like Danica Patrick (and close in age as well).

Hey Willowleaf, good to see you on the couch. I hate weekends, so I always try to have some work I need to get done. As a university teacher/researcher, there's always stuff that has to be done, so that's usually not a problem. Today I've actually caught up with a couple of things that have hung over my head and breathed down my neck for a while. I am good at procrastinating, but being behind with stuff makes me feel awful. Not a good combo. What are you studying?

I'm an assistant principle so I should be number crunching data! I am great at helping staff and students with time management. I know all the strategies but I just couldn't be bothered. Whoops! Maybe I'll fill on a couple of percentages before bed...... What do you teach /research?

Also, Willowleaf, I hope the weather is not too bad where you are. I haven't seen anything on the news about the UK flooding and storms in the last few days, but it's been bad for a long time in the south, I think?

English. I teach academic writing and oral proficiency, and I do research on historical linguistics, mostly. When I teach academic writing I tell the students how to manage their time. Am not so good at following my own advice.

Wow! I'm impressed. Yep raining here more flooding due tomorrow but feeling little bit smug as live at top of a very large hill. Been a pain for the last several years walking up and down (mainly up!) but very grateful now. Houses behind me flood as the water runs down and through their basements, houses at bottom flood as we are by the sea, but I stay dry(fingers crossed)
