Hello Couch Friends,

Just jumping in quickly to say hi. I had a pretty bus weekend. I worked a long day Friday then Yesterday I spent the day helping my younger sibling move into a new home. Today I ran a few errands and did light cleaning. (Just ran the vacuum through the house.)

I don't really know what the meds are doing for me yet. It hasn't been long enough. Taking the benzo 3 times a day helps my body not tremble. The other med is not working yet. That med takes like a few weeks to work then we will probably up the dose. It takes awhile.

Sorry I haven't read back I hope this message finds you all well. I'm currently just trying to get through each day and existing. I will catch up soon.

Hugs to all who take them. Head nod to StopDog.

Yes, have been procrastinating here. I need to gather together all the info and papers I need to fill out the paperwork for my annual Sec. 8 Housing Assistance recertification. Part procrastination, part illness, part being overwhelmed with what's happening in friends' lives, and part not being able to consistently see my T. When I get off of PC today, I need to eat something, shower, and then get started on the paperwork. At least I finally feel rested enough to do it.

I hope I am able to see T tomorrow. As far as I know, we aren't supposed to get any blizzards, and the temps are going to be around minus 10. Almost spring-like compared to recent temps.

Here's hoping we each accomplish what we need!

T day today. So much I want to talk about but don't know whether I am brave enough to bring them up. I really want him to help me but I keep refusing the help. He must think "Oh no, BPA again. She's such hard work."

Today is my quit smoking day. Hope I can do it this time. Got my nicotine patches ready.

I will be thinking of you. I quit smoking years ago, with the help of the nicotine patch. I customized my own "step-down", because I didn't think it would work for me as directed. I prayed about how I should do it, and I think I stayed on the stronger dose for maybe twice the recommended length (it's so long ago now, I don't remember exactly). I know I "stepped down" more gradually with the subsequently lower doses, also. Plus, I realized that I really missed having a cigarette between my fingers, and puffing on it during emailing, because that's when I smoked the most. I cut a drinking straw to cigarette length, and held it and puffed on it as a substitute--it worked quite well for me. I can't even remember now how long ago I quit smoking--it's at least 15 years, perhaps longer. GOOD LUCK!

LOL @ you both....

I am alive, my job has me now me in Houston all the time for at least the next 6 weeks. So currently I am living in hotels Mon-Fri and going to see W on the weekends. I have pretty much abandoned my apartment and have only been there 1 time since mid Jan.

Project has me busy and I try not to think much beyond that. Thanks for checking on me. I'm just swimming and keeping my head above water.

I get that most wont understand the significance of this but I remember a very favorite toy from my childhood...

I was writing to a friend about a nice memory about my grandfather taking us for walks to a nearby farm that had horses...i was starting to say that this Palomino was my favorite... Then bam

out of no where I remember I had this doll named Dusty and she had a palomino horse names Nugget and I could see it all... BUT i can remember playing with them for hours...

I'm so happy... It made me get all teary eyed..with so few memories and most of them horrible....the good memories are priceless.

Today on Maverick, John Astin (aka Gomez Addams) was playing a sheep farmer. Roger Moore (Beau Maverick) said to him, "i recognize you as a man who is cloaked in the goodness of blah blah" and John Astin says, "cloaked? No usually i just wear these here overhauls..."

Had a slightly freaky session with T yesterday. He was unusually talkative and kept leaning forward to talk to me. Freaked me out a bit.
Thanks for this!
