I thought it was curious when he didn't return my call -- he usually does that within the same day.

So, today I got a letter telling me to call the clinic. I did, and they tried to schedule me with a "traveling doctor" (I guess they're having a hard time filling in for him!) for Jan. 30!!!

I'm on the cancellation list for the pdoc in my new town, but so far no luck, so I'm now waiting till Jan. 3 for that one.

In the meantime, I have decided to medicate my own self, and am doing a bit better. I guess I'll just keep that up!

Geeeeeze. That was $20 I didn't have to spend on his goodbye gift, either!

But, it's also money I don't have to spend on gas for a 500-mile roundtrip.

I hope he's OK. I'm kind of sorry it ended this way. pdoc on indefinite leave of absence And I'm really sorry I'm still completely crazy and without help! pdoc on indefinite leave of absence

Glad you have/can see a little positive in there (saved money and gas). Hope the January 3 thing works with the new person and/or you get a sooner cancellation.

It must be very hard going to see a new pdoc and then having to wait through the holidays to see him. Sometimes it helps me to take small chunks of time to get through and not try and cope with the entire time between now and the 3rd.

Please take care of yourself. I can only imagine how difficult this is for you right now. I guess I don't know what to say about the self medicating other than to please be very careful. I would hate to see somthing happen to my fellow bear.
