I was always in advanced math classes (usually with AP students) so I guess since I was so good in it, I just kept interest in it.

Maths is an excellent topic for Aspergics. It's logical, predictable and there are no pesky humans involved.

I think I'm going to spend the evening finishing the book I'm currently reading and starting on a new one.

Feeling a bit low and I really hope it doesn't get any worse today.
Thought I'd try to lighten your mood re: statistics.

Mark Twain said there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

A biologist, a chemist, and a statistician go hunting together. The biologist shoots at a deer, and misses five feet to the left. The chemist takes a shot, and misses five feet to the right. The statistician says, "Hey, we got him!"

Hope you get a great instructor who makes the course bearable.

I was looking at Reader's Digest online, and came across these. I apologize ahead of time to those who find them groan-worthy, rather than grin-worthy.

Did you hear about the jurisprudence fetishist? He got off on a technicality.

A forgetful old gasman named Dieter,
Who went poking around his gas heater,
Touched a leak with his light;
He blew out of sight--
And, as everyone who knows anything about poetry can tell you, he also ruined the meter.

Being a parent is hard particularly when you unconsciously revert to how you were parented. I am ****** off with myself now. I must try to be more attuned.

I love Latin grammar much for the same reasons (plus there is a hard-to-explain beauty in there.)

Parenting is not a game to be won or lost in a single day. It's what you do long term that counts.

I don't like it much but it's not a big thing here so it's not horrible, either. My mother is kind and considerate but she doesn't know me at all and we have almost nothing in common. For instance, when she wants to do nice things for me and to spoil me, she takes me clothes shopping which is pretty much my image of Hades. It is hard for me to be around my sisters, too. I just got home from the lunch with mother and one of my sisters and her family, and I feel like a spring that's been wound up too tightly. My sister is just so critical of everything that I am and do.

Thank you so much for this. I have just had a run in with my 16 year old son. I am so annoyed with myself as I handled a situation very badly. So I really appreciate these words.

At least you made the effort. I so relate to this except,I have no siblings but I so understand the critical - and it goes on and on...... My parents have absolutely no clue about me/my life or situation. As far as they are concerned I am just fine. Xx

Watching the Indianapolis 500 and later the Coca Cola 600.

Kurt Busch is attempting to race in both races today (1100 Miles), after he is scheduled to finish the Indy 500 he will take a 430 Mile plane ride to Charlotte to compete in the Coke 600 (at least that is the plan right now).

Okay, NOW i get why my co-coucheteers complained about prednisone. The anxiety, the hunger, the sweats, the general yuckiness. But it has cleared up the fungus amongus or whatever the heck it was. The derm was right when he said he was using an elephant gun to kill a fly. But there is a definite feeling of before and after to it. Im trying to hang on to that - hit reset. Cut out carbs!
