I went into school this morning to find out one of the parents of a kid I was supposed to have in my class decided to be asked to be moved to the other K class. I met this family last week at the open house, the stayed for a good half an hour, and things seemed fine. It was such a kick in the gut to hear that. Like, what the heck did I do wrong? I don't deal well with this stuff and now I just want to know why she doesn't want her kid in my class.

Healed... I wouldn't waste your energy about it.... there are a zillion reasons I have asked for my kids not to have a certain teacher... For my youngest son... I asked for him not to have a certain 1st grade teacher... I loved this teacher my older son had her for 1st grade too and I was room mother for his class... but she was loud and boisterous (and loads of fun) and my younger son would take it that he was being "yelled at" ...he didn't like things to be loud or "screamers" and he said that is what she was (he was in Kindergarten the prior year near her class) and he didn't want her.

So I'm sure the issue (if there even is one) has more to do with their kid than you. I couldn't expect this teacher to be gentle and quiet...it wasn't her personality.

So you just be you...

Have you ever dated anyone hot?
Or are you hot enough for both of you?

CE, you haven't discussed your therapy experiences or even what is going on in your life in a while. Is everything going okay? How have you been?

Granite, how was T today?
Thanks for this!

I probably just rarely think anyone is hot by looks - usually I don't notice. And I am not hot at all.

I was walking to lunch with two colleagues today and "three little maids from school are we, pert as a school girl well may be...." Escaped my lips.
It seems The Mikado is in the air.

I am not in regular therapy at the moment, although I do plan to see Mr T this week.

I have put on weight since I saw him last - coincidence?

As you know, I have given up on Madame T forever, but it still rankles.

Thanks for asking!

Last week told my T i will only be able to see him every 6 weeks or so due to my budget. I had to classify him as non-essential along with alcohol. I took it surprisingly well at the time. Just had to cancel my apt for next week as I need to buy a fridge.

I just spent the day with my BIL who went from hypomanic, to manic, to psychosis in a matter of days (probably made worse by illegal drugs).. We had to call the cops and bring him to the ER that way. He is finally be admitted right now to mental health wing at our local hospital. Praying he will go back on meds and stay on them. I am exhausted, and tomorrow is the first day of school!!

Hey Growlycat, RTS and other lurkers.

I am a little disappointed in my treatment by the charity organisation that I got the beds from. Had I bought the beds with my own money they would happily have come and picked them and refunded but because I was given welfare vouchers by them I was basically told beggars can't be choosers. So now I am stuck with 2 unfixable bedframes and need to find 2 more. *sigh*

BP, do you know anyone handy who might be able to fix the bed frames? Or as you mention, they are completely unfixable? That's lousy that the organization is pulling that on you. Can you talk to whatever entity supplied the vouchers? You are right, that you should be treated like any consumer who paid.
Thanks for this!

Thanks Growly had 2 guys look at them and they are unfixable. I am looking up the contact details for the area office of the organisation. The org who issued the vouchers also run the stores.

On my way home from the city centre I saw my psychologist (this happened about 20 minutes ago or so). She smiled and waved at me. It was so unexpected and surprising to see her outside her office that I didn't realise who I was waving back at until I had already done it.

This might be silly but I sort of wish it wouldn't have happened. That way I wouldn't have to worry about things like "what if she wasn't actually waving at me but at someone else behind me?" and I wouldn't have been reminded of the fact that time goes by very slowly while waiting to see your psychologist (more than I already think about it that is). Anyway, one week to go and then I actually get to talk to her. You can do it, neutrino, you can do it.

I am trying to help a friend get funding for a project. I was thinking of creating someone on a site like GoFundMe, but we were discussing there was a site where people would pledge money, but would not have to pay unless a certain amount was raised. In this case, the project won't go forward at all unless we raise $2000 and we don't want to try to refund money if we don't raise the $2000. I haven't been able to find the site. Does anyone know off-hand what it is or what it is called?
