I am suddenly stupidly annoyed at inanimate objects. I pushed the couch around the place trying to find a spot for it. I was ****ed with it I kicked it. Its my fault I bought a couch that doesn't fit the way I want it. It finally has a spot but in the part of the house I feel strange about. I really don't believe in those kind of things but one part of the house has an unfriendly feel about it.
Also annoyed my modem hasn't turned up.

How many cats do you have? I have 3...I have tried 4 before but it was a madhouse and more than I could take!

Hi Elsewhere,
I don't actually own any of these cats I have just kidnapped them from the neighbours they return to their own houses at the end of the day. I suppose i am an unofficial cat-sitter as they sit in my house and get attention and food and keep me company during the day. I also stop them roaming the neighbourhood eating wildlife (I hope) I only moved in this house last Friday.
Thanks for this!

Well that's sweet...I thought you were saying you were actually adopting/rescuing them...and in a way I guess you are, just temporarily, during the day! (A cat day care!) Cats are great company; mine are very sweet and affectionate.

Sounds like I must get off the couch and look around once in a while. I seem to miss the interseting things.

God, my anxiety has been bad the last 2 days. I'm fine at work, but as soon as I get in the car to drive home, it ramps the hell up.

I'm going for a jog.

Oh, me, too...one of my Ts asks me every session, "How's your energy level?" I am working on new, snarky responses to give him!

A gym? I have never considered going to a gym. I,ve never seen the sense in paying all that money and if you become depressed and can't be bothered I've wasted hundreds of dollars. I don't know how much gym memberships are worth now but 20 years ago they were expensive.

Hi CantExplain!

Yeah, I don't do gyms. I never have the energy to force myself to go.

I can (barely) dredge up the energy to go for a walk or a jog though. And I really should go more often with my dog. He loves it so much. When we were out together a few minutes ago, I made him a promise we would do this 5 days a week until he is no longer able. (He's 10.) I guess he will be my reason.
Thanks for this!

Hi BP artist--

My "gym" is part of my apartment complex, included in my rent whether I use it or not

I feel the same way about paying for a membership--I'd rather walk for free!

I like that idea of having one included in the rent, but don't like the idea of using it while my neighbours are there.

I feel exactly the same way!! I try to go after 8pm because it is usually empty. Funny thing is, my male neighbors are friendly and considerate in our gym. Some of the female neighbors--well, very rude, snobby and don't wipe down stuff after using it.

The funny thing is, this gym-as-part-of-your-apt-community seems to be a thing where I live (So CA). When I used to live in Boston, an "amenity" was when your front door locked correctly or the washing machines work.
Thanks for this!

We have a pool in our little community, well it's open in the summer anyway. I try to swim every morning before work. I usually have it to myself that early. I wouldn't be able to drag myself to a gym though. ugh.

Ditto. My physiotherapist has a gym which is fairly cheap compared to other places, but I have never gone despite buying a card for 10 visits... I don't have the energy, especially when I know that I will feel really low, stressed out and mentally exhausted afterwards. Exercise is an energy sink for me. And I hate having to lug an extra T-shirt and gym trousers and a towel around on the bus.

pffftttt. Cannot get photos to post this morning.

Granite, what I tried to post was a little meme thing that said, "Trying to understand the behavior of some people is like trying to smell the color 9."

Mast, we are all freaks in one way or another. My T tells me that all the time: we all have our issues. Some of us have freakishness that matches up a bit and we can understand each other. Others of us are on opposite ends of the bell curve on some issues and we will never make sense to each other. Just because one or two people cannot get you at all, does not make you particularly freakish here. It may just mean that the people with the matching freakingness just kind of go, 'oh that makes sense' in their heads, and then they move on. Or maybe they have been harshed on and received so many really mean public and private messages that they just don't post much anymore.

I don't understand any number of people. I like some of them and I don't like others. For me, understanding them and liking them are not necessarily connected. I don't generally spend much time trying to understand what most others do. I assume they have reasons for doing what they do that make sense to them and whether I understand it or not is not all that relevant. It makes my life easier to accept it is not my problem to have them make sense to me. Usually when I don't just accept it is not my problem and instead try to fit them into my logic, I am the only one who becomes frustrated.

The random sex question thread is very, VERY bad for me. I need to stay away from things like that, and I wish it were moved to the relationships forum, which I would never go to.
