I'm 59. Been in and out of therapy since 21. I heard Oprah say (at our age) "What's left to figure out?" Well.... I found that sort of invalidating. Oh, well.
Thanks for this!

And yet she seems to be very much still seeking, does she not? Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Brian Weiss, Tony Robbins, the list goes on and on.

I am 47 and was in therapy a few years when I was a teenager, then skipped it entirely during my 20s and 30s, and then had run into some trouble this decade that prompted me to get back into it again.

I feel like I'm one of the younger ones on this board. I'm 22, and I've been in therapy since I was fourteen.

47, soon to be 48. I have been in therapy 8 years but 6 years with my current T. I truly think I may have the BEST T ever. She has helped so much. She was a big help with the adoption of our 2 children that when I give her pictures I always remind her they are part hers too. Just one of the most caring ladies I know.

29. In treatment just over a year with the therapist I see now.

I consider I have had supportive counselling here and there with other providers down along the years, six sessions at uni etc, and a handful of dubious private appointments here and there, but not engaged in psychotherapy proper until working with this therapist.
