Just walked past Trader Joe's on the way to the subway. Good thing I hadn't read this prior to that, because I would've definitely stopped in to buy a box. Also, I used the aeropress over the weekend and it worked! Just gotta play around with the ratios a little to get the coffee exactly where I want it.

Do you ever have days where you need a second cup of coffee? I feel like I need a second cup of coffee. My H got up with the little one today (he does a couple of times a week, but he spontaneously offered last night) so I could stay up until midnight playing my video game I slept until 10am!! I never do that. But it's off from my regular sleep schedule and since I'm headed towards my mid-30s, it's like my body says, "YOU SHALL PAAAAAYYYY...." :P

They weren't the boot I have 2 door hatchback and i had to put them in back becuase the cage won't fit anywhere else. Thanks for that I'll remember we go back to my place.

Mice are cute as pets. However I did have some not pets (field mice) get in the house. Had to lay the traps with peanut butter :-/

Don't like killing them but couldn't have them running around freely in our basement.

I did have a pet mouse when I was a teen. Rescued him from a guy that was keeping them in a box in his sock drawer (I don't even).

I have a field mouse (or mice at this point probably) in the house - the cat and dogs have thus far proven to lack competent hunting skills although they all gather at times and stare at a spot under the stove. She(he? they? how would I know) did eat some salted nuts that were on the counter. The bag had a hole in it and some mouse droppings were there when I got up one morning. I have seen the little guy a couple of times. I am trying to leave the situation up to nature/pets/survival of the fittest without me interfering.

I sometimes get like that. It usually means I need insulin.

Teenagers are very difficult to help. How can you advise someone who no choice but to live with their FOO?

In either event, I try to stay away.
Teens are probably looking for attention and sympathy rather than for advice. And not just teens. Perhaps the majority of us.

Say thanks and go ask someone else is how I try to handle it IF I have been careless enough to ask for help.

I almost never ask for advice or help about me specifically because the wrong kind really does piss me off - so I understand why someone would get pissy about the wrong advice. I often, on this site, am given advice I don't want or need even where I specifically say it is not what I am looking for. I have even had to tell the therapist I am not looking for her advice - I just wanted to tell someone about it. Also, I might well want to change, but differently than the advice giver's way of doing it.
But that is different from when someone posts "please give me advice" and then gets pissy (I do think pissy is different from simply rejecting the advice).

Because the life you want is not the life you had. You don't want your life back, you want a new life. That takes a lot of work.

Have you made a list?

People want to help. If someone gives me advice I don't agree with, I just move on from it. It only irks me if they get insistent that THEY MUST BE RIGHT. Even so. It's the interwebz. People are like that and I'll just go read something funny.

I don't want help nor do I often try particularly hard to help others- why would I wave harder?

Shakey I need that latte today, thanks a million . I'm trapped in my house with a virus (thanks kids!!) and of course they feel all better now since I'm the one who stayed up all night passing out ginger ale and saltine crackers and comfort. Ugh.

Work is my refuge sometimes!

If fact, very few people are on assistance by choice. The Welfare Queen is largely a myth.

It's why I don't try too hard around here. I post what I'm going to post and I'll give my POV and then usually let it be. They can use the google if they need more info, plus I think there are plenty of helpful stickied posts on PC.

Well, at least voting is limited to those who can get up the morning and can find the polling booth before sunset.
