Honestly, looking at a T's profile is only fodder for therapy if the client makes it so. Human curiosity is nothing to be ashamed of, and when it's only a mouse click away, it's almost more unusual to not look people like your T or teacher or boss up. Some scholarship applications ask for Twitter and Facebook ID's now. It's a way for people to find out about each other and that's what it was created for. I'm even willing to bet that even though the OP's T was alarmed that she looked up his girlfriend, the girlfriend wouldn't be fazed by it at all.
