Cuddling with someone random is horribly creepy (IMO).

I only cuddle those with whom I am extremely intimate.
But I think it is great they have such things as professional cuddlers if others find it useful. I can get massages without too much difficulty usually. And I think it is much the same thing - helpful touch by a stranger.

I am with grumpy cat on this one....

I do agree professional cuddlers are great if it works for other people. I can't even handle a massage by a random person. I am going to PT for my back, and she starts the appt. sometimes by massaging it; it's taken me several appts to get over feeling freaked out, even though she is very professional about it.

And I see that people other than myself have suspected a hoax - I thought I was being too suspicious because I was part of the community where the Kaycee Nicole hoax was perpetrated (google that name if you don't recognise it, and you'll know what I am talking about.) I can't believe it's been almost fourteen years. And now people are being hurt again.

I will admit though, during the summer my pastor gave me a hug. Not just a sissy side hug, but a hug that a father would give his daughter at least that is what I think a hug between a father and daughter would be like. (he is old enough to be my father).. and it felt good to have that kind of real hug. It's been a long time for something like that.

Oh yeah, I suspected it all along.. I am a cynic on the interwebs and I expect people to be the same way with me!

There's an 'educational' button on Ravelry? Never noticed! Now I must go there and look for it.

I kind of hate that we have to be cynical, though. I agree that it is necessary. But I do want to believe that people are who they claim to be, even though I know that some of them won't be. And I especially hate that people who are genuinely kind and caring are getting hurt.

I know, I agree with you Mast.. There are a good number of people here on the couch that I tend to believe, though!!

I, of course, am a bona fide four-legged creature with tusks.

There don't seem to be alot of attention seekers on the couch!

I know what you mean, I do the same thing - worry about people wanting something in return. But I'm slowly learning that people just want to make connections, to be friendly.

I avoid attention as much as I can. I avoid most threads. It's just more comfortable that way.

There was anyway... I haven't been on the Rav forums in ages. The ones I used to frequent got too busy and I couldn't keep up anymore.

I want to curl and lay on my bed, but i like watching the rain and haering the frogs. I also would like to go for a drive but its raining and my car isnt that trustworthy.

That is more usual to me because aubergene gets used as a color too.

I would need my cuddle customers to step into a radiotronic decontamination booth first. They can come out when they are glowing. I am apparently immune to my current t's cahooties.
