I am currently held captive by a cat. I want to get myself another glass of wine, but he is sooo relaxed, I can't move him.
Thanks for this!

I am sometimes hostage to the dogs and cats who surround me in bed.

Mast - H and I frequently request each other to fill our wine glasses because Sadie is sleeping so sweetly on our lap.
"honey, can you get this, I don't want to make the dog get up"

Not getting your hands wet, is all. Keep a towel nearby if you should get water on one of your hands.

I wouldn't read anything valuable in the bath. (Did I already say that?)

H isn't home tonight, and if he were he wouldn't be in this room, most probably.

I have been known to txt him to ask him to bring me more tea, when one of the cats, or both, are relaxing on my lap.

I don't know how to be in a bath without getting my hands wet. How would I get washed?

My D hates (I mean REALLY hates) getting wet.
When she showers each morning she's in there for like 5 min and comes out huffing and puffing. She has waist length, thick, gorgeous locks that she only washes a couple of times a week. It takes almost 2 hrs to blow dry. She's crazy. I keep telling her to chop it all off. lol.

That was one of our coucheteers, if i remember correctly.

Re strangers on a bus - strangers on a train! My favorite hitchcock movie! - usually im quiet and dont disturb others, but sometimes stuff just happens. Not always instigated by me! Its a pretty lively town. The drunken frats are the least of it, imo.

Re baths - i tend to fall asleep for hours in the bathtub. My record is six hours. I had a very stressful job, i would take off a month or so between asignments and spend the time in the tub. When i got down to just one hour long baths, i was ready to return to work. Nuts. Completely nuts.

You have much to learn, young grasshopper.

First you read for half an hour, or an hour, or however long you wish. Then you put the book away and take five minutes to wash before you get out of the bath.

Btw, I got rather annoyed a couple of days ago - somebody has borrowed one of my Brust books, and I can't remember who it was, so I decided to get an electronic copy of it for my ebook reader. Turns out that since Brust refuses DRMming the e versions of his books, the publishers refuse to sell them outside of North America. I was lucky my local bookshop had the paper version on the shelf. Really frustrating, though.

Mast -my son has paper for him. He's really into the art on the covers, that's the only reason I recognized the name. He has shown them to me.
