Might be the best of both worlds. Unfortunately, most of those kinds of properties are two-story which is not an option for us with my husband's physical handicap. Limits us a bit. Your lakeside property sounds wonderful.
It is wonderful. Our home was great too...but with my health I wasn't sure H could handle all of the work alone. Now I can enjoy the lake house with him.
I just put 1 + 1+ 1 together from things you've written...your sister, marching band, TX, H's handicap....Chris?

I have a ton of shoes as well...mostly heels and boots. I shoes.
I have a collection of vintage converse that I've found everywhere. Oldest pair is 1952 black. Very cool. They all fit me too, so I wear them. Heck, I know they are worth more in good condition, but I'm never selling them, life is short, and my kids don't want them.

It's 9:11PM and the Alberta Clipper is upon us. Complete white-out outside. Sadie went to go out for a pee, and turned around and ran right back in.
"um, I'll hold it till morning, mom"
She will too.

I tried to go lay down, but H said my wheezing was bugging him. Mom's in the guest room, and both my kids are actually home this weekend...so couching it with the couch.

Champagne is something I cannot abide. One unfortunate new year's eve band/bowl game experience in college and that was it for the stuff.

That's good then.

I'm actually feeling pretty good today myself. Had a good session yesterday. Did one half of my homework today and it was cathartic.

My mom saved my stuff, but never organized it. She gave it to me in a grocery bag. It has never bothered me that it isn't organized.

I've started a journal for each of my kids. It's one of those ones you buy and fill in the blanks. I've done my toddler's, but haven't started my baby's yet... That's actually the second half of my homework that I have yet to start.

I also started one that I will write in each birthday or any time I think of something. I figure I'll save them until they have their own kids. Or well maybe not. Hmm.

Me too, although I've been getting a lot better lately. I think it's just that my brain was so overwhelmed with everything that there was no 'room' for a good book, or a good relationship for that matter... Now that I'm releasing some of the pressure (finally) I'm finding myself able to enjoy a book again.

I am watching the Tim Burton version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I love Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka.

Yes. SD has the ability to make food I don't like sound delicious. It's frightening.
