Bedtime here too. Inservice day tomorrow, so no kids, but sitting in meetings all day is going to be a drag.

A letter is good.

You can say it to T as if T were her. It works better than you might think.

…. Just in the same way "Mastodon" is Mast….Something strong and tall, not that an actual mastodon isn't those things…I'm prone to improvising/riffing on people's screen names

Whenever I see the words "attachment style" I want to reach for a blunt instrument to bludgeon myself. I wonder why that model pushes my buttons so badly. I mean, it seems like such a simple thing to say "That doesn't apply to me, so I don't need to bother with it".

I guess it is the way that its proponents sometimes seem to argue that it is a model that does apply to everybody in the same way (that is, everybody fits neatly into one of the four boxes, and each box is unambiguously "good" or bad").

But again, it doesn't apply to my life, so why can't I just ignore it and allow those people it does apply to discuss it among themselves?

That might be weird.

I'm very visual, so I don't think I could do that.

Laundry to sleep? Odd.

I hope so too. I'm sure she will. If I am slow to fall asleep it's my head's fault.

She's still eating.

Ahhh I haven't slept through the night in a year now. I can't wait until I can. I feel like I live in a sleep deprived fog... In addition to the other fog in my head. lol

Chris, her legacy lives on in all the people who remember her. All the people her life touched. I think of my grandfather daily and he passed away 28 years ago. I still think about my friend who died when I was in third grade..

You get my point....the building is wonderful and I am sure that congregation appreciates it but I doubt her legacy would not stand if the building were to collapse.

She sounds like a very special person..

Oh, I know that. My point is that Kathy was more than usual; she touched lives far beyond her own. I remember when she was in the stem cell unit that month and I was getting her packed up to finally go home. She literally had cards and letters that covered all four walls floor to ceiling that she had gotten just in that month she was in the hospital. That astounded me; so many people were touched by her life and reached out to her personally. Her Caring Bridge web page was actively followed by over a thousand people and these were not strangers to her; these were people who dearly loved here. She was just that kind of person.

But that little church in El Salvador would have been most special to her. Her trips down there touched her deeply and she and her husband were very actively involved in that mission. She really cared about those children and families who were living in such poverty and would have been most honored to know that their lives and worship were touched very positively as the result of the memorials given by her own loved ones. For her, THAT would have been such a positive and changing impact on their lives and she would have been humbled by being honored by them in such a way.
