Good morning Granite. I just read stuff from yesterday. I don't think you were complaining or that you should just feel lucky you have friends to do stuff with. I was thinking that you have a right to say "sorry but I can't make it this time" and to have friends who say "I'm disappointed and will miss you but I understand".

The hard part is how to get your friends to understand when you say no not this time that you mean it. To me it's like training... You will have to do it a few times before they get it that their whining and guilt tripping isn't going to work...and that no this time doesn't mean no never.....

it is hard to withstand the whining and guilt tripping from your friends but you are an adult and you do get to decide...

Also I dont "put up with you"... I enjoy reading your stuff... You are a great person.

And even if every state does, that doesn't mean every city.

Wiki.. When people here were complaining about too much snow on FB, my niece's suggestion was to come to Alaska. She said it unseasonably warm and hardly any snow where she is.

Maybe it's time for a trip.
Thanks for this!

ya know, it feels like Alaska. So, I'm good. lol
It's insane, the joke here has always been "it never snows on Cape Cod"...well we are catching up for winters past. They aren't melting our snow, so every intersection has piles like 20ft tall on both sides of the road. You just can't see. I inch out, inch a bit more, a bit more....S HIT...big fast truck...reverse, reverse, reverse. lol And there is about 6 inches of super slick ice under all the snow.

Do you have a favorite? I'm partial to Roobios and Honeybush. One of my favorites is a Dosha Chai/Vanilla Honeybush mix - I have Teavana make it for me. So delicious.

I'm out of energy to brew a fresh pot of coffee. How about I order espresso for everyone? There's a guy who'll deliver 'em by bike in the hood.

Also, if anyone has any recipes they've tried and loved for celeriac/celery root, I'm all ears. Was given a few and am not sure how to proceed.

We've always mashed them in with our potatoes or have just roasted them with simple seasoning

Are they similar in flavor to turnips? I love most veggies, but turnips are not my jam, at all, lol.

I would describe it as a more celery meets parsley flavor - if that makes any sense? It's not as "radishy" like a turnip. So less like a turnip and more like a parsnip.

I never realized how difficult it is to describe flavors.

I think you might need some real friends Granite. Your friends remind me of my SIL - she chooses friends based on what they will do for her and how good they will make her look. She will not date a guy she feels is better looking than she is or have friends that are smarter or prettier than she is. The only redeeming characteristic she had is that she is an honest narcissist - she straight up admits all this...

Mine updates automatically. Drives me crazy. Took me forever to get used to the new format, and I still have the old one on my iPad, so now it drives me crazy going back and forth...

I feel like I'm missing out by never seeing the pre update version of the app.
