In all fairness I've only seen a lawyer when we bought our houses and for our wills. Which I guess we need to update very soon. Oh and once when I had to sign something to be executor for my dad's will.

Seriously, simple wills are pretty easy. But mostly because of the ability to fix whole parts without messing with others. People who try to do their own often make things more complicated for the people left behind.

Yeah. We have always gone to a lawyer for ours. I think this time will be more complicated since we haven't updated it since before we had kids... I'm not so sure how that works now.

Its only been in the past year or two that NY went no fault. They were the last US state to do so. I found this kinda unbelievable.
