H got me unstuck, I was only 20mins late for work (though, school hadn't even started yet).. and a student brought me a bag of m&ms for the heck of it, I suppose this day isn't so bad!

I stayed up till 1 am washing my kitchen and foyer floor on my hands and knees. I'm really hoping my elderly dog doesn't pee on it again today. I guess it might be time to hire a dog walker to come mid day or doggie diapers.

I thought so. But this is a game for six-year olds!

RTS - I had an old incontinent dog for a couple of years - I went to the medical supply store and got some disposable mattress pads and put them down near the door and where she liked to sleep. I just mopped with vinegar when she missed.

CE - good luck

Off I go.

I'm going to be conciliatory. In fact, I'll agree with everything she says. That will drive her up the wall!

If a goofy little game is making her feel better when she is struggling with a chronic illness, I am going along with it without making her feel badly that it is a game that some people consider one for 6 year olds.

This seems like it will NOT bring you closure but lead you into more rumination.

I had a nickel for every time I acted immature or did something goofy yet harmless to help myself (or others) cope with something stressful, I'd probably have a few thousand nickels (and a heavyass piggybank).

Our weather keeps bonking back and forth between unseasonably warm and insanely cold. It keeps confusing the cat.

I have reason to believe one of the higher-ups in my department "stole" some suggestions I made for improving the reach of one of our programs. I mentioned these ideas in my employee self-evaluation a few months back, and now this person is presenting extremely similar ideas (down to the wording and imagery) as her own ideas. But she's technically above me in the organization's totem pole, so I don't know if there's any way I can address it. I don't want to hog all the ideas and bask in all the glory, but I'd like some credit where it's due, know what I mean?

Thanks! I am probably being a bit overly sensitive in general right now. My D had been doing really well, but recently had a flare of the illness and she and I were both feeling a bit discouraged about it. Plus I have tons of stuff going on work, and in therapy and blah blah blah. Feeling weirdly numb after therapy, but with this undercurrent of sadness or sensitivity or something.

I posted about my child's school district on facebook and someone pm'ed me out of the blue yesterday to tell I should only post positive stuff on facebook because no one is really interested in my life. Well, she phrased it as a question in the crappy way my mother always did and used almost the same language my mother used to, "who do you think is actually interested in the details of your life, anyway?"

That sucks about the higher up and idea stealing. I have no idea what to do about it.

Ugh, flames. Flames on the side of my face. If someone pm'ed me that I'd politely give them the "Bless your heart, and thanks for the suggestion. Have you also considered scrolling past such posts?" reply.

Unfortunately not--it was an online eval, so once I submitted it, it *poof* disappeared. There's probably copies on one of the bosses' hard drives. I don't believe I will raise a commotion about this, but I will definitely have to reevaluate where, when, and in what format I present my own ideas from now on. 'Tis a learning experience.

I made some lamb meatballs and I may have added a smidge too much cinnamon. I hope the garlic sauce (Toum) (which is both delicious and keeps vampires at bay) smooths it out a bit.

Youtube has the entire version of John Cleese in "How to Irritate People"

I am adding in to my collection of operas as things to watch.

I had no idea you had curfews for children in some places in the US. How is that enforced? Are the parents punished if their kids are out?

A noise ordnance sounds wonderful. I don't think that could ever work here though, especially not during the time of year when it doesn't get dark.

I had that happen to me once. I suggested a new role be created in our call center at the time did the research . Did a test pilot I set up. Wrote up the report. My sup presented to upper mgmt. It was turned down. Then lo and behold a month or so later the manager may she rot in hell announced a new group doing exactly what I had suggested tested etc and I was not invited to join it and she took full credit. Shortly after I transferred to a diff dept to get away from her. I never spoke up for myself buy wish I had. Sorry this is happening to uyou.
