I managed to post a picture of something here once and have never been able to do it again. I have no idea what I did to make it work that one time, and no idea why I cannot get it to work again.

I thought the kittens were irritating her and walked over. When I got closer, I saw YD's eyes were half closed and she kind of had a smile on her face and her tail was gently wagging. She seemed happy and the kittens were fine so I let them be. Couple of days later, I saw her with a kitten between her front legs, and YD was growling again. I walked over and YD was licking and grooming the kitten, while growling. The growling thing keeps happening and I THINK she is trying to purr at them. When she is lying with one of the kittens (really young cats now), when the kitten starts to purr, YD starts to growl. It is really interesting watching them together.
O.M.G. that is DAMN cute.

FB: I keep in touch with a lot of people there. It rocks. I am interested in what's going on in my friends lives. But when you are fighting with another person, or it's big drama, I think keep it to yourself. I post recipes, pics of the dog, pics of the kids and grands. I love seeing what old friends look like now.

Selfies: I have posted one. Just one. Bald me with the dogs.
Stopdog...I triple-dog-dare you to post a selfie.

So...droning on about my life in a narrative none of you really wants to hear, but I really want to say anyways...

I worked a ton of hours at the wildlife clinic this week. Wiped my *** out.
However, I love being there. I've never (in my life) felt like I've fit in anywhere except home (and even there I'm weird), but I feel so comfy there. I don't get nervous, I hardly stutter, I'm confident, and I really believe that everyone there likes me. I've been volunteering there for 6 yrs, the past 2.5 more hands on. I haven't found a single person I couldn't work well with. Sure, personality wise, not every one is a good friend. Thing is, I tolerate it well and I feel like I matter. Why the heck did it take 47yrs to find that?

Oh... and now a picture, in case I haven't bored you silly

This is a frozen wave. Slurry Wave. Slurpee Wave. People call it different things, but basically it's so cold here the waves are like slushies.

(I didn't take this photo, stole it from the information super highway)

You should get some credit, but, alas, you probably won't.
Here are some thoughts that might console you.

1. Their boss will probably steal it from them.
2. Coming up with an idea is only the beginning. Somebody has to fight for the permission, the budget, the personnel. Someone has to make it work. So you can tell your friends it was really your idea but you don't have to worry about any of the messy details.
3. This idea could still backfire. Then you'll be glad it didn't have your name on it.
4. If it succeeds, then everyone will say it was their idea and no one will even remember the person who stole it, let alone who really came up with it.

That's the way it goes, I'm afraid.

Taking responsibility for your actions is a fine thing. But don't forget to forgive yourself, too!

I wonder what the smell of a bar is?? Is it a good or bad thing to smell like a bar? I might need to learn how to hangout in these establishments if I end up single again. Getting married by 19 and Youth Pastors by 21 means I didn't spend any time in bars. Which is surprising as I lived in college town with a lot of a bars!

Healed - you don't have to go to bars if you become single - you can join a softball team instead.
Or join reading groups that meet at book stores with names like A Room of One's Own, Gertrude and Alice Live Here, Lambda Rising or Rainbow Room etc.

It depends on the bar. I prefer the ones that don't smell like stale beer and sweat personally. Though if you're looking for someone to hang out in bars with, I'm also newly single and out of practice
