I used to watch Johnny Carson (the tonight show) with my grandmother.
And I loved Bewitched.

I wanted to be Samantha when I grew up. I thought she was fantastic.

Rags, Rainbow, I had to stop posting on Scarlet's thread. My oldest DD has a history of SI and I have a history of not handling it well. (((Hugs))) you're good friends!
In the light of day I realize I should've put a trigger warning on that. Completely forgot. I'm sorry. But thanks for the support last night.

The first list, I watched most of these as first runs. :-0 I also remember in Jr High, yes it was Jr High then, skipping a 4H club meeting to go home and watch Dark Shadows, then sitting there thinking, what am I doing? I loved 4H. Last time I did that.

So often when I'm waiting for a bus I fantasize being able to wiggle my nose and just be where I want to go. I can't wait till I actually develop that skill.

Nope, your post didn't trigger me. Scarlet's don't either. I find myself biting my tongue so I don't type out unwanted advice to her. So I have to stay quiet, .and read without posting.

Man I have to miss T tonight, stupid fever. Good thing there isn't anything weighing on me right now!
Thanks for this!

The couch was sinking! It needed to be brought up for air Off to go look at more shoes on my lunch break.

Apparently I'm being an extreme shoe addict today....

I am not doing well tonight. I am so lonely and so disgusted by myself. Or should that be "with myself"? Are both ok, with a slight difference in meaning?

I just made a delightful no knead multi grain bread. Part whole wheat flour and part bread flour with 10 grain cereal. I find the trick (most recipes I have seen leave this part out) is to soak the 10 (or what ever number you have) grain cereal in water for an hour or so before making the dough.

By myself means, alone. With myself fits better. But semantics aside, I'm sorry you're feeling that way and I hope the mood passes soon.

I tried learning Russian. For years. Full time. I'm embarrassed to say it was my major because I never got good enough at it to hold a normal conversation. So my admiration of you is huge. Also, with some people I tone down my vocabulary to make sure we are communicating well. Including with some native English speakers. You are not one of these people.
Thanks for this!

Thank you. I mentioned to T this morning that I was worried that my English is deteriorating, and he said that he had not noticed that at all. So I hope he was honest about that.

I want to brush up on my Russian - I've never been very good at it but I did study it in high school, and it was such a fun language. My German is also much too weak - I can read a novel in German, given a bit of time, but I find it difficult to follow a spoken conversation, and I am rubbish at speaking the language myself.

Granite, I hope it goes well for you today!

My T session was excruciating, but ended up being a good thing. It was 48 minutes of intense discomfort and some tears, followed by him FINALLY saying something that made a light bulb go off in my head, so I had two minutes of, HEY, THAT MAKES SENSE! Why didn't you say THAT in the first place? Jesus. It only took us ten times of having the same discussion over and ****ing over before he finally phrased things in a way that made sense to me. Non-attorneys / non-linguists and their lack of precision in language. hmph.

I know - it is awful. The second one I see is much more aware of this than the first. The first handles language with all the finesse of someone doing surgery with a blunt chainsaw.
