Couch 90 - nine tee - not nine teen.

hubby is watching this super-weird show again called "Billy & Billie". I've seen it twice, it is uber depressing, annoying characters, terrible acting, boring dialogue. I assume they MEAN it to be that way on purpose. Otherwise how could something so terrible make it to tv?

Yay. Hubby went to bed early. And I turned the idiot box OFF.

6 year old is restless and burning up, coughing and has a stopped up runny nose. Simple allergies don't cause fevers, do they? If she wakes up enough I'll give her Motrin and I unbundled her so hopefully she'll cool down. I don't like colds! Hopefully she'll feel better soon.

5 kittens total and one of the other cats is in there helping mom keep babies warm. So cute! Hopefully there's nothing nefarious on her mind! maybe I should separate them?

Sounds like a cold, not allergies. Bummer I feel so sad about sick kiddos.

I'm so miserable and whiny when I have a cold, so I imagine it's even harder on the tiny ones. she's snoring again so fingers crossed for now she's okay.

The teen has returned from her nights ramble, so I guess now's as good a time as any to go to sleep. Too bad my brain has different ideas!

I need to get some sleep. Except I'm afraid I'm going wake up projectile vomiting. There could be a virus in my stomach replicating itself RIGHT NOW >.<

:roflmao: I hate viruses (viri? Virii?) and if I never have another it will be too soon. Last school year we passed 13 of them around thanks to the kindergartener! Got crackers and ginger ale? If I lived nearby I'd bring you some!!

I've traditionally been really lucky. I genuinely can't remember the last stomach virus I had and I've had a few come through my house. That being said, I couldn't remember the last time I'd had strep throat and I had it TWICE last year. Once in the summer. IN THE SUMMER?! Like seriously. What's up with that? Hrmph.

Posting scares me. Every time. Even Thanks and Hugs sometimes (am I doing it too much?). I'm afraid of hurting people, giving wrong reactions, bad advice, even driving people away even though I know they can always ignore me. Over 200 posts into it, it hasn't lessened. Until right now. Well, I talked about this in therapy today. Even though I just now came up with the insight it's an indirect result of today's session. What I try to give a lot is attention without judgement. In Jr High, now called Middle School, and later on many jobs I was verbally/emotionally bullied and didn't have off-site backup, so to speak. So I try to give what I wish I had. And that's okay. That's who I am right now and what I have to offer. And even ask for? Dunno. But all I can do, all I need to do, is my best right now. Just my piece.

Maybe it will be easier to be here now. And, thank you T.

It must be jack nicholson nite on "thistv" one of my weird sntenna stations. Good news is two things: i forgot how much i love the theme song from Heartburn. 2nd - google jacks big scene in carnal knowledge - its abusive, be warned, but at the end it gets kinda funny - i think i could use jack yelling at me, "how much do you get paid to test this mattress? For another fifty bucks, do ya think you could maybe vacuum??! Open a window, it smells like a coffin in here!" Etc etc. That might motivate me to clean house!

My throat is on fire... Thankfully it is not my stomach, though.. I feel your pain nowhere! We have a stomach bug going around in my class... And I judging waiting for it to hit me! And I ready for once this school year.

Why am I posting at 3:45 am? In my wild younger days this would be a drunk post and I'd have just gotten in from some bar. In my tame middle age I just have insomnia!️

Well. Okay. I'm awake and I have not had any stomach issues. Yet.

Today is Pi Day though. I have to go get our pie so we can eat pie. Well. So I can eat pie, no word on if the boys will want any :P

Don't double dip around me, I don't care what mythbusters says, it ain't "all good". It's gross. Ick. Yuck. Spaz. This is why I never serve dipping sauces at my parties. Or chips. Or anything in a big bowl that multiple people put their hands in. Even my family knows not to stick their hands in a chip bag or stick a chip in the dip container. Use a plate, dammitalltohell.

That's my gripe and I'm sticking too it.

One of my friends, in my close group of friends, dated someone who was completely undone by how we all shared food (it was not a long lived relationship). Or pick as we say. We eat out of the same ice cream carton, all taste each other's drinks, pull meat by hand off of roasted fowl, etc. And we have dips galore and often taste with our fingers.
Sharing chip bags is the least of the things we do. And since we have all been friends for about 30 years now, it has not done any of us any harm.

And our cats all walk on the countertops too. Although we do brush them away from the food and keep them off the table while we are eating.

I suppose this is NOT a good excuse to have 3 1/6 pies.
