She said she'll be in town to "tie some things up" and that we can meet while she's here. Either I don't believe her to prevent myself from feeling hurt if she doesn't come, or I believe her that she intends to come but it doesn't really matter one way or the other. Oh who am I kidding, here. I really want to see her one last time!!!! Wish I could have let myself TELL her that last week. Even though she has said we are on an as-needed basis now, I still feel like I'm saying goodbye...

That is wonderful news! The goodbye is just an annoying formality. She will always be a part of you, because of all the hard work you both have done. It's been a wonderful ride to have shared in your journey; a journey that is always being fine tuned. You done good work art! Enjoy your visit.

Well, in a few hours I will be off to see my heart specialist. I think he will be happy with my weight loss. I hope he orders a new echocardiogram. That test will tell us if my heart function has improved or not.

Really - it might be worth it to try some honey and lemon mixed with a dash of cayenne pepper/cinnamon/and apple cider vinegar to soothe or one of these concoctions - I have used these and find they help (while not actually curing - at least less awful)

And then this at bedtime

Nah - i think bee poop is gross!! Or bee spit, or whatever it is. Why wont they tell us what it is? "Product" - yeah, right!

Seriously, honey doesnt work for me for a sore throat. Plus i will binge on it. Plus it reminds me of my mother. Plus why eat sugar that isnt chocolate?? That just seems so... ineffectual. I tried to find a better word than dumb.

Boy i am full of spit and vinegar when i have a cold!! Thanks for the recipes tho. And i try to stay away from booze, it depresses my mood.

I don't like chocolate that much. But if it does not sound like worth trying - it is okay with me. I recently had the crud and they did help me. I don't mind the taste of apple cider vinegar and I get hooked on cayenne - that capsicum high thing going on.

I did a 50 mile endurance ride over the weekend and I CANNOT.STOP.EATING. Seriously. Had a steak that had barely stopped twitching. Scarfed large quantities of chicken and sour cream and onion potato chips. Kept popping grapes and pineapple chunks. Thought about getting up at midnight to eat again because I was so hungry. Ate two donuts this morning. ugh. My horse is doing much better than I am. She seems pretty happy and actually came to me last night when I called her. She used to run away from me and was really hard to catch. It's weird that she likes me better now that I have started riding her really long distances. A couple of weeks ago, we did back to back 30 mile rides.

Granite, I am so happy for you that your crafting thing went well! Good for you for having the courage to follow through and do it.

Art, hope the in person meeting goes well.

To you sickies: STAY ON YOUR SIDE OF THE COUCH. Also, I hope you feel better.

I drank a lot of coffee today. Now I'm kinda twitchy and yet also still kinda tired.

Mkac - try a horse muffin!! I swear, your recipe sounds so tasty!

Its feed a cold, starve a fever, right? Cuz i think i have a cold

Has anybody tried the carbmaster yogurts? They cant legally call them yogurts, but they sell them in the little cups with the yogurts. 60 cal, 9g protein, 4 g carb, 1.5 g fat. I had some this weekend - they stick to your ribs, dont have a yucky aftertaste, and have some good flavors like carrot cake. They take out the milk sugar and put in the yogurt cooties.

Do you think it is wrong to get angry occasionally?

I wish you were more comfortable with your "negative emotions". Whenever they break through you rush to discredit them and lock them up again.

That's one of the Swallows and Amazons books. They call him the Mastodon because he wears special shows for walking on the mud. They got to know his footprints before they met him in person.

Which one is that Mast?
Wait... Is it the one after We Didn't Mean to go to Sea where they're camping on the mudflats? I forgot the name...

So I go back to work today, after being off on vacation all of last week, and sat down at my desk and while logging into my computer I thought "I missed this place! I really love working here. I really enjoy my job. My Goddess, I am so happy!!"

A good Monday!

I can actually! You sit very little during these rides. Mostly the ride is done in two point or posting.

Sent the seven year old to bed early for being rude and disrespectful.
It occurred to me mid-lecture that I sounded like previous T way back when we had the 'rude and disrespectful' incident. Oops. Maternal transference is a bit of a trip...
