And mine. (Who is also a pdoc.)

I can't imagine a doctor talking about "normal" except in a very strict sense, like a normal blood pressure range for people of a certain age, and so on.
Thanks for this!

Sounds like you need to go rent a ball machine and whack the sh^t out of a couple hundred balls or so. At least that's what I'd want to do... :unhug:

What's a ball machine when it is at home? (I know that was directed at stopdog, but I'm curious.)

I'm thinking of one that shoots tennis balls at you, but they have lots of varieties - baseball/softball in particular.

I think I need to get the ball machine and just stand there and get pelted with the balls.
Then I would I learn to love Big Brother. Or at least feel better being beaten but still defiant.

Believe me, you do not want to be hit with the tennis balls Stopdog! I got hit on the side of my thigh once and I had a bruise the size of a soccer ball.

Could you just go to my cousins upcoming bridal shower for me instead? Sounds like it would be about the same thing, only with cookies

Eta - and booze .
Thanks for this!

I don't like cookies. That would beating you - but I don't get worked up about bridal showers. Bored - yes. Worked up - no. Plus I need the physical to stop the mental. I have been reading about after effects of adrenaline/chemical rush - it is exactly what I have. Breathing got me through not leaping over and killing the md - but it is not getting rid of the rush after surges.

Understanding cool whip. Definitely.

And also on myself. I'm not my favourite person.

It sounds rough to not be your favorite person - or at least in the top 3 or so.

[some serious TMI removed]

I can't recall ever liking myself. I was very unlikeable as a kid, especially to myself.

Mast, maybe my opinion doesn't count for much, but I'm going to continue liking and admiring you! I do understand your feelings of not being your own favorite person, but your signature is WRONG, in my eyes you are not nothing.

I have T tonight, I posted myself a reminder on my work's Outlook, and I got a reminder call from the office. Do you think I'll remember to go this time? Last week I was investigating the "vicious beating" of my nephew by my neighbor's child, turns out it was more of an accident and the only viscious thing about it was the punishment both kids got for being careless! I'd rather have been at T, heck, I'd rather have been anywhere else that night!

I went out to lunch with my supervisor today, there was this man creepily staring at me, for a prolonged period of time, from across the room. I commented that I was sure I didn't know him and wondered why he was staring at me. My supe said, "Maybe he thinks you're pretty! You look fantastic today." Instant head to toe blush. I can not take that kind of compliment, nor that kind of attention, even from my long-term friend who only recently became my superior at work. I didn't appreciate the stranger-stare either, now I feel violated.

ACK!!!

Bring back my sackcloth and ashes!!

So T asked me to consider something as a possibility today. It seems utterly impossible. I was sitting there mentally arguing with him and he said he was not arguing about it, he just asked that I consider that it may be possible. Argument in my head continued. T goes, are you doing that what's-her-name thing your head? What's her name? Stop something. Me: stopdog. Him: yeah, are you stopdogging me in your head? Yep. hahaha.

Internal stopdogging can be just as good the external kind.

That is a good idea... cheese quesadillas are a go to around here, one thing I know both kids will it!! I am waiting until my h comes home, I am thinking I can persuade him to get subs or order pizza!
