I am trying to imagine my response if a therapist ever tried to lecture me - especially on being rude or disrespectful. I don't think I would be all apologetic or remorseful. I can't see me less rude. I might even become more disrespectful.
I am pretty sure I would.

She threatened to terminate me - I surprised myself with my response. I sounded an awful lot like my seven year old this evening...

She threatened to terminate with you because she determined you were rude and disrespectful or she thought you became disrespectful after she tried to quit being the therapist for you? Either way - Good lord. And lecturing? Even gooder lorder.
Did you try to stay with that one after that?

Yup, I adored her. Still do actually... I had pretty intense maternal transference.
We did discuss it a lot after the intensity of the incident died down a little, and she admitted to countertransference. I wanted to keep seeing her, but she didn't feel qualified to help me, didn't think it would be ethical. She referred me to my current T.
It was a bizarre experience, and I was very angry about it, but it was also fascinating. I really did sound just like my little girl this evening...

I finished the bag of white chocolate Reese's eggs from Easter. I need more of those things. They're good...

I just pulled up the previous "dear t" thread and scrolled through and read all of my posts that were on it. Wow, what a progression I see in my work from the end of last year through Feb of this year. Incredible. Especially how I worked myself through an intense "I hate t" period. I'm going to look at the one before that next. But not tonight. I gotta hit the sack!

Yeah, sometimes I'll read back through my journal... It's amazing how much I've changed. I should really read my old posts one of the days...

I burned my hands a week or so ago in a cooking incident. They are at the itching like the devil healing stage.

I was cooking something for my son recently and somehow managed to lay my arm on the rim of the pan and got a lovely burn on my wrist, it itched like the dickens as it was healing and I pulled the scab off more than once on accident. Looks like it's gonna leave a scar.

stop you weren't using a blow torch with a turkey fryer were you? hope it feels better soon!!
Thanks for this!

well i would much rather bounce on the couch all day, but i need to get my butt (and the rest of me too) into work. Here's to it being a good day like yesterday was! I'm on a project again at work so that's almost always a good thing. And I'm just pretty darn happy overall anyway lately which doesn't hurt either. Have a good day (or night) everyone!!

Alas - it was a mundane broiler incident.
I wish it had been a blowtorch thing - that would have at least meant fun.

Rub tea tree oil on burns. There is an hilarious essay in the new yorker april 27 issue about all us web md's. I read it in ts waiting room, then i could NOT find a store in town that sold the magazine.

Eta - Last night i dreamt that ashton kutcher and james garner both wanted me. In separate dreams. Im not a slut!

Today is my last day of DBT group and I also see my T today.

Tuesdays are my favorite day. Not because of T, he's like a bonus, but because my T is far away, I get to escape my house and have almost an entire day to myself!!! I need to go bra shopping. Also, I think one of those frosted lemonades from Chik-fil-A is in order (it's lemonade and ice cream - it's like a lemon dreamsicle and it's so good and I'm so careful with what I eat).

No kiddos. No H (who I adore but I need me time).

Now if only I could not be depressed and fully enjoy all of this *blerg*

Oh! Be careful. Tea tree can be a skin irritant.

I have super sensitive skin so I'm always extra nervous (like I'm allergic to something in my hair gel but I haven't found a hair gel I'm not allergic too so I just find ones I'm less allergic too... *sigh* I need to figure out how to make my own and see if I can isolate the ingredient irritating my skin. I get tiny blisters all over my hands).

You can dilute it in pretty much any oil you have laying around. It's usually wise to not put neat essential oils on your skin anyway (though my boss would disagree). Test a little on the sole of your foot first if you're worried.

I have T today too. I sorta wish he could come over and have the session on my couch. Mainly because I'm being lazy and don't want to get showered/dressed/drive across town.
On second thoughts I really don't want my T on my Pediasure scented couch with an unshowered pajama'd me... Nevermind.

As an FYI right after a burn happens put honey on it and wrap it in saran wrap for awhile. Seriously, it look ridiculous but it heals the burn and removes the pain very quickly. I get burns all the time.

I have taken a break from the first one for a few weeks. I don't recall ever needing to do so from the second one - aside from usual vacations and all.

The Economist hit the nail on the head when it said that the police force in many parts of the US behaves more like an army of occupation.

I dont know whats going on. A young man was killed by the cops in detroit in his fathers home. They said he was coming at the cops with a hammer. Idk. You would think things would slow down, but it seems like they are hurrying up to kill more people before the law changes. ??
