Bench press? But I would have guessed that weightlifting was not a good idea for a bad back anyway.

ARGH. I went to the sleep disorder specialist today because of my chronic insomnia and at the urging of my psychiatrist. The sleep disorder specialist thinks I need to turn off the TV and put away the kindle for two hours before bed. What exactly am I supposed to do with my time? I explained that the insomnia happens whether I have "screen time" or not and that TV prevents me from going insane while trying to sleep (I often fall asleep to the TV). He did order a sleep study for my breathing - which I am sure I have sleep apnea and he even mentioned that my throat "is tight". My biggest complaint is not the insomnia but the grogginess I experience every single morning until noon.

Yeah, I edit a lot too. I would hesitate to call my relationship with my T out of the norm though. I think there's a lot of extremes here that do not reflect the average.
T is human and he makes mistakes, and sometimes it really upsets me. I don't post about it though, or if I do it'll just be a quick comment on the couch or something vague on the Dear T thread. I'm already upset, I don't need to deal with, what is to me, the overreactions of others as well. I know my T relationship better than they do.
I'm not even going to get into arguments about touch and self-disclosure. A good T adjusts those according to their own boundaries and individual clients' needs, not what some nebulous 'authority' seems to think.
Not that there aren't some rotten Ts out there, but mine's not one of them.

Anxiety chest today. Makes it hard to breathe sometimes. T in 1.5 hours, she promised today would be fun and not heavy like the past two have been. I hope so.

I told my t about your raccoon pulling at your pant leg like when he was young - we were dying. Poor Rocky was regressing?! Anyway we thought it was a perfect example of rupture and repair.

Okay. Best senior prank ever. The seniors at my son's high school hired a mariachi to follow their principal around for three hours today. LOL. Pretty funny.

Yes. But secondary to Mitochondrial myopathy and possible type 5 glycogen storage disorder as well as multiple defects in fatty acid metabolism. Which all means I've had a few crises but if I manage my exertion and take all my many supplements I have avoided any more ER visits since early in my diagnosis.
I have to consume about 150 calories in pure sugar before I do 30 minutes exercise and then more for every half hour after that. That really helps my muscles for stuff like yoga but nothing on earth allows my body to cope with running. It does sUck. But it's also led to a lot of personal growth. I pretended I was a recovered anorexic who just loved to run. And I DID love to run but I also felt my body and self worth still depended on my weight so I was a slave and addict too. I would never have been able to give it up. The universe took it away and forced me to face all my childhood trauma head on.

Just got done with my first ride alone on my 'new' competition horse. This is the mare that I came off of last year and broke my wrist. I have never taken her out and ridden her with no one else around because I was nervous about coming off and getting hurt. I did take the precaution of getting an app that lets my H track me while I'm out on my ride, and sends him a text notification if I do not move for 5 minutes. hahahaha. However, the mare was really lovely and we had a great time. Feeling really pretty good.

But a large proportion of the population get a boost, whether from endorphins or something else, when they exercise. I think that is probably much more common than the opposite.
No apologies Mastodon you didn't demotivate me. I did!!! I just got to thinking I did feel better when I exercised so why can't I just do whats good for me?? I was thinking out loud! I enjoy that everyone speaks their minds. It's refreshing and I so much want to be able to do it too!!

I've been melting down about 24 hours after my sessions lately. Saturday afternoons suck

Do you have someone who can give you a foot massage?

I'm glad I swam this morning, even if it was only for 30 minutes, I think it helped me keep my energy up all day for the new hires - we have 13 of them, and today was their first full day out of training and taking calls, and there's 4 of us assisting them running around answering their questions. I had great energy all day until I got home and now I'm kinda crash & burn..... glad it's a 3 day weekend! I think I'll have a bowl of cereal for dinner, that sounds nice and easy....

This morning as I was trying to get a bunch of stuff done before leaving for calls the raccoon got her hand in a child safety locked cabinet and ripped open a box of pasta which then fell everywhere.
I said "petpet, why do you have to go around randomly destroying things? ??"
She stopped what she was doing, sat on her but and stared at me like " umm...iI'm a raccoon. In your house. Why are you surprised? "
Thanks for this!

I love the name petpet! I once knew a dog named pup-pup, which my parents inadvertently renamed putt-putt
