Conversely, that might make him feel he's in the presence of a strong, motivated, determined client, which aren't a dime a dozen, and he may well appreciate the opportunity to work with you twice a week, it's often very satisfying to have that regularity and close working relationship for Ts.
Thanks for this!

I would think all that par for the course if one is a therapist. I think they often like it when clients need them to a certain extent. And I think they set the game up for clients to show their least pleasant sides. I personally consider that to be one of the biggest things I find about therapy to be useful - because I go in and say things that are not acceptable when I am dealing with real people in my life.

I have students who do most if not all of those things (I am uncertain about the dissociate but I imagine a couple of them do and some tell me they need to see their therapist) and I don't consider dealing with them the low point.

Sounds pretty par for the course to me.

Mast, I do all of that too, and by all indications my T quite likes me.

People *like* to be needed you know...

She is still missing. My partner thinks a coyote ate her( we have the big coy wolf hybrids here. My neighbors shot one that weighed 105 lbs and one of their rendezvous points is in the woods right behind our house)😦 I came home before my last call. Just finished a pass through the woods. All I found was a bunch of stinging nettles. Legs covered in welts but no raccoon. Have to go see my neighbors horse theN Find some long pants and bug spray

Oh no! I hope not
Raccoons are wily. Here's hoping she's holed up somewhere sleeping off the sugar and will arrive home looking for Oreos soon.

Congrats! And thank you for the motivation. I will be able to write a post just like this in December. What do normal people with free time do at night and on the weekends?

(And a great deal of thanks go to my therapist who inspired me to return to school, choose my major and then proceeded to tirelessly cheerlead me through the 2 year process. I'm very grateful today. Also, very friggin tired. )
congratulations Leah!!! Well done!!!

I am SO looking forward to finding out!!!

I still have a 60 hour per week job plus a freelance transitional job plus family, but am hoping after the summer break to find a 40 hour per week gig. Still, it's quite a relief not to have homework!

Kudos to you for working so hard on your program- December's not too far!!! That will be quite a way to start the new year!

Home from T. Feel better now than I did after Tuesdays session. Just still confused and overwhelmed but a little more balanced.

She is still Missing. I searched the woods for 3 hours. Nothing. She is fixed but still has a nesting instinct. it's mating season right now and she has been seeking a place to nest ( happens every year. This year she cleared out the cabinet below the kitchen sink to occupy but it wasn't satisfactory and she was cranky) . I am hoping she is in a hollow tree or something getting it out of her system. This is twice as long as she has ever been gone before though. I need to.get some sleep since I didn't sleep last night but I'm so worried. Going to set the alarm for 4 am to get up and do a quick sweep of yards and woods
Problem is raccoons are like little ninjas. She could be almost anywhere and unless she wants to be found we won't find her.

That sounds like a likely explanation Brony. I hope she'll be back home soon terrorizing the place

Can't sleep. It's been pouring since about 9PM. Lots of flooding in the area, and our lake is about to hit 100 year flood stage. I don't think they expected this much rain out of this system, but it stalled right on top of us and just keeps dumping rain.

Yesterday was my baby's 16th birthday, and last night was his private voice lesson recital. He did a beautiful job. His teachers are quite pleased with his progress this year.

Our theater department won the state one-act play championship last night! Awesomeness!! Our district's fine arts program is one of the best. So happy for those kids. Our girls' softball team plays today to see if it advances to the state finals. Their game was rained out last night, so they play a double header today. All sorts of excitement going on at school. One more week and we'll be out for summer.
Thanks for this!

Have you ever felt like throwing a tantrum because of your T? I was actually doing quite alright the past days, until my friend mentioned she went to see her T. Who was also my T. Now I'm so jealous! I think my little child part is acting up. I feel like a 3 year old who doesn't get what she wants

Yeah when my cat went missing - a long long time ago - then one morning she just walked back in the house like SHE was mad at ME!

Is there a reason why you can't make an appointment?

Yes, it's because my therapy is over. I'm trying to move on and let my T go. So I know seeing him would only slow that process, but the little child in me doesn't care about that.
