Does anyone journal their daily Tasks and thoughts? I found so many pretty notebooks I had, with a few pages of diary entries in most if them. Will have to take out those pages and put them all together somewhere. Not sure why I did that. Maybe I need to carry a journal with me do I can write whenever I feel the need to.

I used to journal more, but I find I don't much anymore because I just don't have much to journal about now that I'm stable. Many people find it really helpful. Others not so much. My T tended to like it when I journalled because I tended to write with a very specific purpose in mind and we really used it in session. On the other hand, he had to work with my husband to limit his journalling because for my husband, journalling tended to cause him to spiral into really irrational thinking as he would get sort of obsessive about it. It can go either way depending on the individual. I think generally it is a positive for most though.

I journal all the time. I use an app called Diaro - so I can have my 'journal' with me all of the time, when I'm at home and have time I hand write them as well. I sometimes give them to T if I'm having a hard time verbalizing a situation. I also 'journal to her' daily as well so she can 'stay in my crazy brains loop'.

I journal about my daily routine and moods. Part of trying to find a reason between my mood swings. I've been doing it for a year now and hope to be able to predict future mood swings.

I've been journaling pretty consistently since I started therapy almost 4 years ago. I have a box of filled-up spiral notebooks. I do my best to keep them all together so I can go back and refer to them from time to time. I journal my dreams, my dream-work, poetry, day to day stuff, vacations, etc. I have folded up scraps of paper in them because I'll grab a piece of paper from anywhere to write when I'm out if I don't have my notebook. Journaling has become very very important to my therapy journey!

I wonder sometimes what my husband would think if he read any of mine. But the only thing he reads is the sports page in the paper sometimes and stuff on the internet. I doubt he'd be able to read my handwriting anyway even if he bothered. Actually, he'd never be able to make any sense out of my scattered stream-of-conscious style anyway.

Yes, and them compare the journal entries with the CBT list on unhelpful thinking. Very useful. Unfortunately I have done them on my phone and cannot work out how to get them to my computer.

I used to write but stopped. I didn't want my family to find it. Then, again, I've saved all my emails to from T and PrevT. My poor daughter. I hope she just deletes it all and doesn't read it.

I journal every day on my laptop. I can't really talk to people, so I write it down. It sort of helps me to get it out.
When I was a teenager I wrote in nootbooks. I probably have about 10 of those. They aren't that nice to read. I don't know what to do with them. There has been at least two times that someone read in one of my diaries, so now I write on my laptop where no one can read it.
Thanks for this!

I have a therapy journal that I write down everything that is said by both my T and I and then I can reflect on it. I need to start a journal about my feelings and moods so I can track them.
Thanks for this!

I have a friend that I text all the time about literally everything, and that ends up being my journal. I'm so thankful for this friend as she puts up with a lot of crap from me. She's assured me a million times that it's okay that I text her so much Anyway. Sometimes I'll actually write about our conversations for therapy, but most of the time I just read from my text messages if I need to bring something we talked about up in session.

I used to journal about therapy and related subjects, for my own eyes only. Not daily but semi-regularly. It was very helpful. I stopped doing it because I am lazy.

I have cartons of journals. Now I wish there were a safe way to get rid of it all. I can't burn them in a bonfire because I can't have a bonfire.

Thanks for your replies everyone When T asked if I write in a journal, I hope he wasn't wanting to read it.
