Speaking of wine er drinking. I'm ready to graduate from Moscato. Anybody know of any still sweet, fruity wines but that are a little less kool-aidy than Moscato is?

I had more in mind that we would all sit around here sipping tea, with our little fingers crooked as we held the cups.

Oh, wait, I've mistaken this couch for one in "Downton Abbey."

Riesling is a white that's generally sweet (not nearly as sweet as Moscato) and kinda fruity. You can get some good German ones for cheap, too! I'm mostly a beer drinker though.

Omg i just saw myself on tv and it is NOT pretty. But it is pretty darn funny. Crazy ex girlfriend tv show - lead actress plays a lawyer, there is a person in her office named Karen that is ME. She actually used one of my actual excuses, "i have to get out of here, my electrolytes are imbalanced." I should be embarrassed but im not. I need a copyright lawyer! the coworker from heck, hilarious!

I keep telling you...copyright the expression.

Actually, a bit of Googling suggests that a) the term is of, I kid you not, Ukrainian origin, and b) according to the first definition at urbandictionary.com, it's more commonly used of one gender than the other.

But their second definition is gender-neutral!
Thanks for this!

**tail between legs** I feel like an *** now. I have decided to stay at Panera. I feel like I owe my managers an apology for my horrible attitude the last two weeks or so. They have been so good to me. My frustration wasn't ever with them. The frustration is with my physical condition(not sure what that is yet...PCP guesses(without testing) carpal tunnel and tennis elbow). However, I see a orthopedic surgeon for more definitive diagnosis in two weeks from tomorrow. I suspect an arthritic condition of some sort.

Would it be odd to write an apology to my managers with my availability opened up? Or is it better to just change and hope for the best?

Apologies are so rare these days they are sure to make an impression.

"I've been having some personal issues in the last couple of weeks and I've been taking it out at work. That was wrong and I'm sorry. I'll try to avoid doing that in future."

I would never put anything in writing that could be used against you, imo. Either work or dont. If they dont schedule you enough, cross that bridge when you come to it.

That makes sense - he taught us a lot of what we thought was Polish but the wiki entry included words like pierogi and other foods familiar to his neighborhood. So eastern european anyway.

Hi, couch.

I am home from CVS. I went in at 5:30 as scheduled. I had gotten permission to go in late to teach the kid, but his mom cancelled on me because the kid had 4 seizures over the weekend. Understandable. She didn't cancel until I arrived, so the school board will still pay me for the hour, since I drove there. He will just lose that hour of instruction. Oh well. Since I did not have to do that, I figured that I would go into CVS "early" at the time I was originally scheduled.

Had health screening at school job today for the reduced insurance deductible. An outside company does the tests. They say the tests are not shared with the school board, just for our own personal information to make informed health decisions. Doing the screening/assessment lowers the deductible from $3000 to $500. I didn't do it last year and ended up kicking myself this year with the higher deductible. Now I am covered and locked into the lower deductible for next benefit year.

I had to laugh at some of my numbers. My cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood glucose were all excellent. However, my BMI says I am obese. Haha. I blame it on being so short. I shared just that amount with other teachers at school who also laughed about it and agreed that I am not what they would consider obese. I would agree with overweight, but not obese. It's not like I was barely on the low end of obese on the chart. I was almost off the scale cap for obese. I say if I am happy with my weight and my other numbers are in the excellent range, don't worry about what some health chart says.
