I don't really understand how it works. Roger Zelazny and Lilian Jackson Braun couldn't more dissimilar.but are put right beside each other.
Thanks for this!

Every tuesday morning we have lab class in a different building than we normally have school. I'm here and no one else is! No teacher, no students. I've whatsapped a classmate and emailed my homeroom teacher, but no reply so far. Trying not to panic.

Thanks for asking. I eventually asked someone and they asked someone who told me that lab was at the regular location today. I was home sick yesterday and thus I hadn't heard - and the teacher hadn't thought to email me.
I didn't fully panic or cry, so that's a win.

Didnt they both anthropomorphize in their writing? Braun with the cats, and Zelazny with a vacuum cleaner or stg! He sticks in my mind as one of my favorite writers. Thanks for the link.

They both have high-point Scrabble tiles in their names?

Or, I can't stand either of them now after early fandom.

I also don't like Woolf much after early fandom.
Thanks for this!

Good morning everyone! I feel like a Popsicle and I'm dressed like an arctic explorer. Watch it go up in the high temps today, and I'll roast alive!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

No guessing needed, im quite certain i provided the necessary and sufficient response! i think the zelazny book or story i found so memorable was titled stg like does it feel good when i do this. Which sounds really weird now so i gotta go google it.

Eta - hm. Maybe not him. I gotta see if its in my shelves!

I have never read Roger Zelazny and I found Lilian Jackson Braun's writing to be insufferable.

My boss got a last minute spot at a trade show today. My boss is one of the least organized people on the face of the earth and she recruited two of the most annoying women on the face of the earth to help out. My head might explode before this day is out. Wish me luck

Sorta snowed in. Perfect day to cook. (Or clean...but who wants to do that?)
I'm making a pork roast..I think.

Pondering things today, like, pork shoulder fat side up or down? Cover or not cover? Add carrots, onions and potatoes at the start of cooking...or wait and add the last 45 minutes? Hmm.

Delicious questions. =d

The teens are out at a friend's tonight having a rare day out. Mental illness is stopping my oldest one from socializing and causing her to have cabin fever and her anxiety is getting out of control again. She was so much worse yet so much better off while still in school.

Anyway dinner is on me, so I whipped up some rice-a-roni for the little to take the edge off. I have chicken boiling for soup. I've done laundry and I'm waiting for the cycle to complete so I can flip my work clothes into the dryer. Today I wore an astonishing combination of fleece pants (that don't look like sweats but really are) and a dressy sweater with a sheer panel in the back and beads around the collar. Oh and my trusty Skechers. Yeah, I was a total fashion plate lmao! Nobody call Vogue though, I managed to avoid the paparazzi today.

Put the second coat of black on my mirror frame. Stenciling tomorrow, crossing my fingers it looks better than the floor.

That about wraps it up. Why do I always come here and give you all a play-by-play? I don't really know but I have to contribute and there's nothing really interesting to spill. Oh, and because you all never make me feel unwelcome. Thanks Couchies!

In an hour I go to the optometrist to get fitted for glasses under the govt supply scheme. I didn't know of this til talking to a homeless person who saw the state of my glasses and told me about it. My glasses have lost a nose pad so it digs into my nose and lost the bit that goes around your ear to keep them on. The other arm is held together by sticky tape. I started looking about 18 months ago and the different optometrists claimed not to know anything about the scheme and tried to sell me cheap (i still couldn't afford them ) glasses that weren't adequate ie no bifocal etc

Went to a psychiatrist museum with the family this week. In the gift shop, there was a Freud Fruit and Nut Bar snack for sale. I thought it was SO funny. H thought it was incredibly offensive and even seemed upset when I said I wanted to buy it. Strange that we had such opposite reactions.
Thanks for this!
