I don't approve of being trapped in pockets and boiling beverages does not make it a more appealing prospect. I drink a lot of tea, but I don't wax poetic over the beverage like JS, Redsun and Granite - their descriptions would make me want to drink it if I didn't already= as it sounds magical when they talk about it.
Plus I am a southerner so I drink iced tea (regular black tea) all day long - but not the sweet kind. For some reason my family never drank it and so I did not develop a taste for it.

I would like to formally rescind my statement that it is impossible for me to fall back asleep. I would also like to kick my own rear, but that is even more anatomically impossible due to the stiffness in my back. I believe I'll give up my cushion for a nice spot on the floor. Stretch out couchies!

Altho go figure, I do really like the chai tea latte at starbucks. I get one maybe once a year because I cannot stand how pricey it is. We are provided teabags at work, and sometimes they have vanilla chai ones, I made a cup the other day because it was so cold and rainy out, and put a little coffee creamer in it, and it tasted close enough to the starbucks version.
Thanks for this!

I bet buying chai spices separately then putting them in some other tea may be cheaper. Now I want to experiment.

I also drink lots of iced tea and hate sweet tea! Honest Tea is good for slightly sweetened iced tea--I can handle that. Chai lattes are good, too.

You can buy a container of Tazo's chai tea latte concentrate for about $4 at Target, then mix it with milk (or in my case, soy milk). You can make 4 or 6 of them for the same price as one at Starbucks, though I still get them there sometimes. (I think they now use a different brand of tea, but the ones they used to have were Tazo).

More instant kind:

And if non dairy creamer does not offend (I don't like it at all - but this would make a good mix to use perhaps)

Stopdog you seriously need to write a cookbook or have your own cooking show.

Agree. But people who are judging that you dont looked stressed enough arent always the best listeners, ime.

True enough, but most people (in the US at any rate) will respect 'This is how I am and you will back off. Now. Thank you.'

How was the chai bad - too something or not enough something? I make my own all the time and I really like it - I use a lot of pepper because I like it that way- I don't make it sweet so there is that.

That image is going to entertain me for the rest of the day: SD as Paula Dean or Rachael Ray.

I also dislike coffee except in extremis. So I never go to Starbucks.

Basically, I drink water, milk, juice, and the occasional soda. Oh, and whisk(e)y.

The directions i had were focused on it being a milk drink. I used powdered soymilk as i was trying to make an instant mixture. Maybe it was the Old Spice! I just bought some vanilla chai tea bags and add it to green tea and lady grey, cold.

Still trying to figure something out that t said yesterday. I told her I thought she was kind when she said she did not experience me as a pest (for emailing her between sessions). She replied "I am not kind." I still don't get it. Did I somehow offend her by saying that? Maybe I should have said "Well okay but I just experienced that as kindness". I don't know. It was just weird I guess.

Last load of laundry just came out of the drier so I guess I better get it folded.

Art My T said something similar about not being kind I can't remember the originl incident so the conversation was a bit moot.

I have in 1hour and I still need to shower. Getting that awful anxiety as the woman who owned the practice before him has left and taken all the decor with her. I don't really know what he will replace it withI just hope he remembers the music. The radio before was always set to a classicall station.

So, T and I are trying to figure out if I'm on the spectrum. She suspects I am. We did some testing for it in therapy yesterday. She'll score it and we will talk about it.

In other news, my biopsy is scheduled for February 1st. i meet the surgeon for results a week after that. I haven't told anyone in my family yet...my family will not take this well.
