I know I started a thread some time ago about our Ts thinking of us outside of session. Last week when I was feeling depressed, my T called me at 8:30 PM to tell me that my pdoc called my meds into the pharmacy. I was in class and did not pick up the phone. And as I explained in earlier posts, I was all annoyed and angry at my T because his message was so 'business-like,' and when I had spoken with him earlier that day, he had showed so much empathy and awesomeness.

But I was still able to pick out something really, really good as a result of the message.

It was 8:30 PM. I really don't think he was in the office at that time. If I am correct, it means that maybe he called me from home. It means that he was forced to think of me outside of session, LOL.

How pathetic.

Pinksoil,

I love this. Oh, yes I would say you are correct. Lucky you.

I also hang on to any mention or hint of out of session thoughts....I called T last week after my eye surgery and left a message that I was okay. When I saw him a few days later, he expressed concern that he should have called me back, and was I upset that he didn't, etc. So, I said, no but was happy that he was worried....

Yeah, great news. Hold onto it!!

When my former T left me messages, he was also very business-like. But, that was because he didn't know who might get to the answering machine first, or who I might be with when I listened to the msg.

Hope that helps. em

Thats not pathetic at all! I would have done the exact same thing! One of the first things i notice from either emails, or phone calls, whatever, is the time people sent it at. For some reason thats important to me? lol

I'm with Emily! How "personal" can one be talking to an answering machine? Yes, I would definately hang on to the fact he called you on "his" time to give you an extra bit of information you could have found out or "assumed" (if he/they said they'd call it in).
