I pulled an all-nighter. Insomnia on steroids! I'm starting to get sleepy now, hopefully I'll get up sometime before bed time tomorrow, ugh. I was very productive today, must be the adrenaline pumping from getting off my lazy butt. Tomorrow is more floor finishing if I don't waste the day sleeping.
Thanks for this!

Morning, couch.

I have been up a while working on my master's work. I still have 3 chapters to read and reflect on before tomorrow at midnight (between Monday and Tuesday, not Sunday and Monday). There were 10 chapters to read this week.

My group assignment is done, we finished that up last night. Every week we have a learning team assignment as well as our personal assignments and readings. I like my learning team for this course. All 3 of them were on my learning team for my first course. They are all responsible and do their part. I am always scared at who I will paired with, as 30% of our course grade is determined by learning team assignments. The school wants us to learn how to work and cooperate with other professionals, since that is needed in the real world.

This week is Spring Break for me. I did not tell CVS as I did not think about it, so I have the week off to relax and work on my class.

My lovely car is having issues again. Third time since December. Stupid car.

Well, I need to go clean out my car so I have what I need before I take it into the shop tomorrow morning. Then it will be back to my school work. Catch you later, couch. Just wanted to check in.
Thanks for this!

I woke up extra grumpy and already told off both kids, regarding being unpleasant to each other just out of habit. And now the guilt.

SM -I believe children will survive that sort of thing -and if they were being unpleasant out of habit - then why the guilt? Perhaps a family fun day of sanding/finishing (or whatever massively impressive floor project you have going on) will make it all better?

Mystification over why it seems so difficult to accept that advice, no matter how well meaning, is just not always welcome or needed or even the correct advice for any one person at any one time.
I keep telling the two I see I don't want their advice.

It is good I just have dogs. I can order them to sit and put them in giant crates when I leave etc. I would probably not feel bad about doing the same to children

My son used to get in the dog crate on his own and pull the door closed behind him. He would get mad if we disturbed him while he was in there. I have a cute photo of one time he invited his dad to get in there with him. Good thing we had large dogs.

Ha! I think we have a few pictures of the boys playing in the dog crates over the years. They might would have objected if we locked it and left them there though, SD.

My parents would put a leash on us when we went out to the zoo or something (it went around the body, not the neck, no worries). We all thought this was great - we could roam fairly freely without always having to hold someone's hand (which is hard on little arms).

I do remember one woman stopping to lecture my mother about it, though.

I know - children were never really something I wanted. I do like babies and toddlers -but I find them extremely annoying once they get to be around 5 or 6. Listening to them try relate some event is the most tedious thing on earth - to me. I kept trying to show my nieces the difference in how they told a story (horrible) to stories they liked.
This was a less than successful endeavor.

Alas it is too cold to finish boards. Well to me it feels fantastic but the Osmo dries best in temps above 70. Plus it's raining and the temperamental finish wants low humidity. I don't have a climate controlled workshop so I've been catching up on neglected chores around here. Blech.

I slept from 5:30 this morning to 10:30 this morning. If I take a nap I'm sunk! Have to sleep tonight for work tomorrow. But cool rainy days are perfect for napping. . .

Happy Sunday couch.
