I feel Unseemly Hoopla also needs capital letters. The bad urge I had to clean today swiftly vanished after the bathroom was done. I'm such a slug. . .
Thanks for this!

After I got home from t, in a burst of energy I bbq'd some pork chops and cooked green beans and broccoli (changed my mind about the cauliflower) but now all I want to do is take a nap. Delayed reaction to the emotional (but good) session.

Or perhaps suffering the aftereffects of bleach on the system. Slugging is not always a bad thing.

And Balvenie on the rocks.
I do - it is my new summer drink

Done dealing with the ex for another fortnight. It's like stepping back into the Twilight Zone every time. He never changes. It's bloody weird is what it is... How he can live like that...?

I had to laugh to myself today when the vet said "his immune system overreacted" and I couldn't help but think 'overreacted - yeah, that sounds like him!'

I think it is good to take the pills for pain. No point in suffering. I don't like using them either, but sometimes it makes sense.

If the cost was not what I considered exorbitant for a dessert, I would like to get a cheesecake from the nuns in new skete who support their monestary.

You could try TJ's Speculoos cheesecake instead. My mother loves it.

I do get the trader joe's cheesecake bites. I can make a decent cheesecake. It is just there was something compelling about the nuns supporting themselves through cheesecake that caught my attention.

New Skete is the collective term for three Orthodox Christian monastic communities in Cambridge, New York (geographically in the neighboring town of White Creek):

The Monks of New Skete, a men's monastery founded in 1966 by Laurence Mancuso, their first abbot,
the Nuns of New Skete, a women's monastery founded in 1969, and
the Companions of New Skete, a community of married monastics founded in 1982.
All three communities are under the omophorion of the Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church in America. They are best known in the world at large for their breeding and training of German Shepherds as companions and guide dogs, and the training of all breeds in basic obedience. The Monks have written several dog-training manuals, including The Art of Raising a Puppy and How to Be Your Dog's Best Friend: The Classic Training Manual for Dog Owners.
