Take my shoes off, curl up in a blanket with a special pillow and chill.

My T wanted to arrange an appointment with my gp, but I declined. I think I will be ok. I just wanted someone to know how miserable I was. I don't have anyone IRL and even if i did I would tell my t as he can be concerned from a distance and not want to cook me dinner and make sure I shower.

Nonono - CE was making a joke (I think) when he implied that. It would never occur to me that taking your shoes off could be TMI, but then, in my country it is rude to keep one's shoes on in many circumstances and all doctors' offices and similar are strictly no-shoes zones (as is my T's office). So I would never have thought of that interpretation.

The TMI was that I refered to my emotions. Sorry, I'm an idiot for thinking that was obvious.

And from what I read in other threads, I should probably stay away from the couch for a bit. Oh well.

Yes, I was making a joke.

But there was so little information I couldn't see what else could have been "too much".

Sorry. But it's never too much information to say your emotions. Trust me. I have a big problem with repressing my emotions, and I can't often say my emotions to others. I think anyone who can say their emotions are really brave for putting themselves put there! =)

That's kind of you, DF, but it is not true for me. It is for you, but I must never talk about my emotions outside my therapist's office and especially not in an extremely public place like this. It is not about bravery but about what I am.

But I like the headless robot, so I wish you would not go away!!

About to start forced-fun day (celebrating Admin Professionals day) with trivia, karaoke *shudder* and blindfolded line-dancing *shudder so hard I fell over*. See you all later!

Trivia can be fun, if indulged in sensibly. Karaoke and line dancing, not so much methinks.
(But then, if somebody had told me a week ago that I'd be dancing like it was 1773 at a wedding last weekend I would not have believed them.)
Thanks for this!

I took a class once called something like The Dances of Jane Austen. Quite fun.

Yes, I do enjoy country dancing. I do it very very rarely though.

I just read something on Google.. and I can scarcely believe it. Is it true that you folks from the US don't automatically have a day off on Easter Monday, Ascension Day and Pentecost?

Yes, those aren't federal holidays; those are religious holy days.

I know we don't interact much, but it always makes me sad to see how hard you are on yourself. You say it's not about bravery, but about what you are. Are you not human? It is ok to feel emotions, and it is okay to express them, but only if you feel safe. Do you not feel safe on the Couch? Also- I have NEVER read a post by you where you are offensive in any way.
Thanks for this!
