No - it's one of those books that everybody else seems to have read and I've never got around to reading it. Do you recommend it?

I liked the book. It's been years since I've read it, but your signature made me think of it. If you're not interested in philosophy/history as in "this philosopher thought this and that philosopher thought that" you can skip those parts and just focus on the story (it's what I did the first time I read the book

I'm another one who likes to play sports but really couldn't be bothered watching. It's fun to go a game for the atmosphere now and then but if I'm parked on my couch I'd rather be reading a book.
I used to have trophies for karate. Ex threw some of 'em out, the rest got left behind when I left. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fret not! It was never specified which nation's law to follow. Actually, a majority of them have a minimum drinking age of 18-19, so vive l'alcool!

I hated softball at school we played just about every Friday I used to field really far away where the ball never went until one day I could hear people shouting then pain in my head then it alll went dark. I would never have caught the stupid thing anyway.

I woke up and I feel like the bottom half of my body belongs to someone else. It's certainly not doing what I want it to do. I have kicked my walking stick out from under me twice so far.

Later when I have 8 to ten spare hours, I'd like someone to explain golf to me. And when I recover from that, American football. I can't watch sports on TV unless I understand what the heck they're doing. Re: playing, I have a magnet in my head for sports equipment, from tennis to volleyball and anything in between, I've been beaned from near and far distances. I've learned to leave sports to those coordinated individuals who excel. I'll be off doing something sedentary feeling my arteries hardening.

Sports: I'm not a an active sports person, either. But I have two older brothers so I was able to play plastic baseball (they said I ran like a girl) and I learned the basics of football, but I was not allowed to play that.
We lived in Indy, so the Indy 500 was/is big around here. I became familiar with the driver's names and have attended time trials a few times. I have never been to the race. In the spirit of the Indy 500, our neighborhood kids organized a "Little 500" ten speed bicycle race around our addition/neighborhood. It had everyone excited. I Was a spectator, not a contestant. We had the "Little 500" every year growing up until a small girl was accidentally hit. She went to the ER, needing stitches in her forehead. =( She healed, all went well for her but the races stopped. The boy who hit her felt terribly bad about it. The most original sports-related thing we did, I believe, is that we would buy ice cream from the the ice cream man- Once the ice cream had been eaten, kids would sharpen one end of the wooden popscicle stick (for aerodynamic purposes) and use magic markers to otherwise decorate the sticks with the names and car numbers of our favorite drivers, A.J. Foyt , Mario Andretti, etc. Then we gathered them up and raced them down the creek in back of our houses. Much, much fun for all...even the loser would take his ribbing good-naturedly. We held those creek races many times. Last edited by precaryous; May 19, 2016 at 09:35 PM. |

Just found out the rude annoying woman who sits outside T room is his wife. This is going to make it harder to complain about her.

For me, it would make it easier. Does she work there? if not, she should not be sitting there observing his clients. IF she does, then she should still not be disturbing his clients. I would tell him I did not like it and did not want her talking to me.

I don't know what she does. I think she does his invoicing but there is an area around the corner where she could work out of sight. A few weeks ago she disturbed my session by laughing with the other Ts client.
I was planning on telling him next session. I suppose I should put my big girls bloomers on and tell him it really does bother enough to consider sitting outside. |
