I think i figured something out. In lawyerese, things dont have to logically follow through an entire train of thought, like they do in computer programming. No - lawyers just jump off going boo! anywhere all willy-nilly and they think they won. But all they did was jump off the train by themselves. They didnt derail it. The logic just keeps chugging along to the next station.

And you wonder why I say I don't understand you ever? I don't understand any part of this.

Surely that's because lawyers in court are dealing with human beings - judges, juries, witnesses - and therefore it isn't always to their benefit to use pure logic? Human beings suck at pure logic. They get emotionally derailed.

I think lawyers are more likely to commandeer the train and take it to a destination that most of the passengers do not want to visit. Logic sits at the originating platform, waiting for the train to return, saving the cost of a ticket and the misery of riding a train commandeered by a lawyer.

This is nor comforting. My malpractice lawsuit is escalating and while neither my attorney nor the head of my liability trust thinks there is any reasonable caae against me, just the sheer amount of time it is dragging out for is breaking me down. They said it could be another 6-12 months for a ruling. Its already been 4 months. I need this to be over. I can't keep rehashing it.
