Where did you get this batch of kittens from?

Mama cat gave birth in the barn and I started feeding her and the kittens, a month and half ago. Mama got mad about me hanging around and moved the kittens. One of them fell out of the hay loft yesterday and was crying. (The biting one.) I gathered him up and went up in the loft to try to find the rest. Mama found a really good nest in an old corn sheller, but only one kitten was left there. I took that one also because they are six to eight weeks now and I figured this was a good time to try to tame them so they can find homes.

I am thinking biter might be hurting from the fall, so I am going to leave him untouched for a few days.

Now I need to borrow a live trap to catch mama so we don't have this issue again. There is a place that will spay her for $20 and then I will turn her loose again. I think she is likely too old to tame.
Thanks for this!

Junior cat really covered himself in glory this morning around 1 am - getting him in the carrier required me to 1) disassemble the bed, only to have him run off, 2) turn the sofa on its side, only to have him escape, and 3) to lift a piece of furniture that I doubt was meant to be lifted by a single person. I held it up with one hand and grabbed him with the other.

He then serenaded the neighbors, the cabbie, everyone at the airport, and my fellow passengers with a lengthy, repetitious list of his grievances.

He is now in the kitchen, being spoiled by my mother's housekeeper, and looking smug.

We have a program like that for feral cats in my city. And here they also notch the ear while they are sedated so it is known that the cat has been spayed or neutered.

My mother keeps praising a new pet place, Doggie Style.

Not only am I not sure that she knows the other meaning of the term, it's super-weird to have your mother keep saying "doggie style."
Thanks for this!

Why is it such a horrible thing to tell your teenager to clean his room?! He acts like I just told him to pluck out his eyeball or something. He's all "Why does it matter so much to you if my room is a mess?" Well, for one thing, I need the 2 laundry baskets that you have in your closet with your clean clothes in them from a week ago. I also wanted to say it doesn't MATTER why, it's in MY house, so clean it the frick up! But I didn't. I'm about to do it myself and present him with a bill. And he will not like my hourly rate.

Either that, or start charging him $200 a month for room and board.

WHAT WERE THE OWNERS THINKING??? AND how did they get the name licensed??? Gay marriage, the county clerks have a problem with. A business named after a sex act - oh thats nice dear.
Possible trigger:
- hope you get lots of business!
Thanks for this!

Google reveals that it is actually a common name for pet stores and grooming places.
Thanks for this!

If it doesnt pass the personalized license plate smell test, it shouldnt pass the business name or DBA test. I see i need to run for president. I can see Canada from my house!

Well, it's a good year for third-party candidates.

Hey, can I be your campaign manager? Fair warning: I believe in buying votes.

Just let H know that he is getting me a set of biothane reins for my birthday and they are already ordered and on the way. His response: oh awesome! Do I think you will like them? Lol. Yep. I will love them, sweetie. They are exactly what I wanted.

My sister told me last night that she sent me something for my birthday. I said oh, but per Mother we aren't supposed to give presents to each other anymore, good thing you never did what you were told! ha ha

Oh, and the mystery of why my Mother sent 3 cards - she thought they were all so funny she decided to send them all. I'm not sure why she thinks they are all that funny. Unless she is being mean by thinking that. One of them depicts a cat wearing a glittery crown and it says "Every day you sparkle." Why she thinks that's funny? I do sparkle.
