Anybody could, super easy! Time consuming, but easy. I posted the recipe on (I think) couch 116.

I thought in your town it was required to hug a tree at least three times a day.
Thanks for this!

Where I lived down south the council wouldn't cut down trees even if they were obviously dangerous.

Goodwill's logo creeps me out, though. For a long time I thought it was a person, not a g.
Wow, I just noticed it is a "g" now that you said that. I was under the impression it was a person too.

Is it bad that I thought I was quoting Shakespeare in an e-mail to my marriage counselor, but instead, was apparently quoting the Bible? At least it was the Old Testament (he's Jewish, not that he'd care, anyway)...

I think it's a G that's supposed to look like a person?

If so, whoever designed the logo has no clue how creepy it looks. It's like half a body-less person peeking out from behind a wall.

What was the Bible quote?

Evening, couch.

Well, I am caught up on the couch. Went shopping earlier today for food to cook supper tomorrow night. I am still cooking for the children's home family on Tuesday nights (as well as my housemates and myself). This time I am making meatloaf, homemade mac and cheese, asparagus, corn on the cob, and a peach and berry fruit salad. The fruit salad will have peaches (or course), strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. The peaches and strawberries will be cut up but everything else will be left whole. Cooking is fun sometimes, when you don't have to do it every night.

I finished up my assignment that was due for my master's course this afternoon. I also made my last required discussion post for participation. I am loving this program. My learning team almost has the entire assignment that is due next week complete...we started early. I just have to wait for information from 2 people to add to the powerpoint. I volunteered to construct the powerpoint from everyone's information. I am good at powerpoints and their layouts. We have to have speaker notes as well, so I am going to use the detailed info people send me there and then summarize it on the slides. It is not due until next Monday, so the 2 people have time to get their information to me.

Well, my mom texted me tonight that my brother was arrested this morning and is in jail again. When he called my mom from jail he told her that he went to his ex-girlfriend's house last night to pay her for his portion of the cell phone bill and did not know that she had an injunction against him. However, the sheriff's website says burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and criminal mischief more than $200, less than $1000. So my mom and I are thinking that he broke into her house when she was not home to retrieve something of his that she was refusing to return to him after she kicked him out. Either way, still not good. He sees the judge in the morning, we will see what he takes of all of it and decides what to do. He has been in jail multiple times, I dunno why he can't stay out of it. A few years ago was for drug use. Then for a DUI while his license was suspended. Then for mouthing off to a cop when they were called out for a domestic dispute and resisting arrest without violence (that time was only for 2 days, then charges were dropped because my brother threatened to sue for cop brutality for fracturing his ankle and chipping his tooth). He's no stranger to the county jail. I just wish he wouldn't do stupid things that get him put there. He only does stupid things when he is drunk...which is quite often. It's a shame.

Well, I am going to go explore things online. I'll check back in later. Later, couch.

Its fair...he doesnt remember details of our session 6 months ago. I wont hold that against him.

It's very discouraging when a T forgets an incident that matters to you.

Just spent the last 30 minutes looking up burglary information in Florida. Looks like my brother's is a second degree felony with a sentence up to 15 years and a fine up to $10,000 if convicted. Though my mom said they may have a hard time proving he broke in when he gets mail there and has lived there off and on. He still was not invited, but they may have a hard time proving he intended to conduct criminal activity as well according to my mom. I dunno, I will wait and see what the judge decides tomorrow...though I think he would have to have a trial to be convicted, wouldn't he...a jury of his peers? The judge just decided whether to press charges or not, right? Maybe I am worrying about this too much, but I am just worried that if he is in jail he will not get the help he needs mentally.

I think the prosecution/DA decides whether to press charges. The judge sets bond and determines probable cause.
Thanks for this!

Good to see you, ilikecats!

On the bus to T and work, realising I left several important things at home. Damn.it. I'll have to go home early, and H is on holiday.

Thanks! That was fun.

Being anti-Amazon I rather enjoyed the explanation of their logo - "Amazon’s goal to sell every product from A to Z" implies that they intentionally ignore those us who do not use the English version of the alphabet. (It's a to ö where I live, for instance: we get three letters after z.) I know it's childish of me, but it made me gloat a bit.

I can't believe this! How can a billing query be a violation of the no texting rule. Its an operational issue, may not be scheduling but its important.
