Couch 117: Come On In and Set-tee A While

He asked the lady today when he got his check, about direct deposit, so he's getting set up on that for next time. I was surprised too when they gave him a check! I've had direct deposit forever it seems like.

I am old. We went out to dinner tonight and I had to leave the gathering a bit earlier than others because the music was so loud I could not hear anything or think.

Believe it or not I am feeling so good that it's Friday evening, that I don't even really want any wine. Who am I and where is Artie?

I'm that way myself. It kind of scatters my brain. Can't think.

I bought a book about Reading the Akashic Records for myself for my birthday, it came today and it includes free downloads from soundstrue.com, so I'm downloading them now and one of the things is a talk by Brene Brown, I think somebody was talking about her on here recently. Her voice, specifically. I'm looking forward to listening to it, as I haven't heard her before.

I like Brown's voice. It sounds like home to me. I think the content is totally simplistic goo-but her cadence and accent are very soothing to me.

I haven't been on the couch much since summer vacation started. It's been pretty stressful. All my son's medical stuff seems to be concentrated at this time of year too. I always seem to pull back when I'm feeling stressed/overwhelmed. I haven't been connecting that well with T either. It really doesn't help, but not sure what to do about it...

I just tripped on my sidewalk taking the dogs around the block - a silly trip on some uneven pavement - and now my kneecap is bloody and puffed out a lot and my elbow looks like hamburger.
Myy dogs just sat and stared at me - like hey stop making such a spectacle.

The couchketeers are falling apart. Exes, children, old agers falling (next time it will be a hip), etc.

Thanks - mine was my own stupidity. Not as bad as exes and child care challenges. I do love that my dogs even know to stay back. They are great dogs. I love how they just sit and look at me like wtf are you doing now?

Why do T's say " if you and i were married...." as an example...????
What if the client was the same sex as them...what would they say?

eek incas, i have no idea why a t would say that. i am thankful mine never has!!

In the US and many other countries people of the same sex can get married - so there would not be a problem using the example as far as I can see.

I also do not have any idea why I am currently still awake. I'm gonna be bleary-eyed out there picking up trash in the morning!! But we have to go early before it gets too hot. It's worth it though, even if I'm tired. It's a good feeling doing something good for my community.

well i suppose it could be a problem if one is already experiencing certain transferences, regardless.

I really should go to bed. I am feeling happy and wide awake. But the alarm is going to ring sooner that I'll be ready for it to, I'm sure. So I'm going to try to go to sleep. Night couch!
