Yes, that's the book. I was eager to get it and start reading it, because it is based in scripture. It's really hard for me to comprehend the boundaries that it says are good. Coming from a place of having no right to have boundaries of any kind and religion drilled into me. It's quite hard for my brain to understand that. Please see that I said "religion" not Christianity. Big. Big. Difference.

It makes my heart sad and mad.

I'm not all here just yet from my last "zip line" trip. I'll give it another try a bit later.

Whoa, came home from work this evening to find hubby in bed with his knee swollen up like a softball is under the skin. He has no idea what he did to it, it just happened gradually over the day today out of the blue. He's put ice on it and has his leg propped on a pillow, and he'll go to the dr tomorrow if it isn't any better. He said he thinks he might have banged it on the car door yesterday but he's not sure. The swelling seems to have gone down a little bit in the past hour since he's been laying down. But it's just weird.

That happened to my H. It was water on the knee. He bends down a lot for his job and puts weight on his knees a lot.

Maybe an epsom salt soak and more ice. ?

Maybe the salt will draw the fluid off? My husband had it happen to him before I learned about the "good stuff". Not sure if it would help or not. Ice for the swelling for sure!

Quiet Mind. Here it is. It is my favorite so far. Each one seems to be that, but I truly love this one. A quiet place to go and plant your thoughts.

It's a horrible picture because it's dark and the lighting is bad. I hope you enjoy it anyway.

Happy Birthday!!

The natural way. It was before I learned about the essential oils and how amazing epsom salt is.

Dental extractions rescheduled for Tuesday. There was a conflict about my pain management after surgery- oral surgeon wanted my PCP to prescribe it. She's like, noooo, I don't think so... I finally got Surgeon's nurse to call PCP's nurse. I still haven't heard if surgeon is going to manage my post-surgery pain. I need to call tomorrow and find out what they decided.

Meantime, I have two dental abscesses. They acted like it should get taken care of very soon. I dunno. Extra strength Tylenol is not cutting it.

I had another realization this afternoon. I seem to be getting a lot of them lately. First this morning when t texted me and I recognized the absence of the negative voices, and then later this afternoon at work I was sitting at my desk waiting for a call when something else struck me - that, just maybe, this acknowledging of the "naysayers" in my head that I've been about lately (acknowledge them and tell them I'll talk to them later, and then do so by journaling), as I learn to hold space for others in the shamanic practitioner training, acknowledging them instead of trying to ignore them is kinda like accepting them as shadow parts maybe? And by accepting them and working with them, they don't feel the need to be so loud? Does that make any sense? Hmm....

I'm sorry for my usage of the word Christian rather than religion! It wasn't my intention to offend or insult or anything bad.

I appreciated the use of scripture in the book though I'm an ex Christian because growing up I wasn't allowed to have boundaries and my church experiences involved a lot of boundary invasions. I'm very very very slowly learning about "progressive Christianity".

I did see you used "religion", I didn't understand you perhaps meant it to be general. Where i live, we've 11 different religions so I tend to specify the religion. Sorry again.

I do hope you find the book empowering though. I really mean this despite my issues around the Abrahamic faiths in general.

Trailrunner that is beautiful. I love the greenery archway. When I used to keep freshwater fish tanks I loved decorating the inside like an underwater garden.

Precarious I hope you get help with the pain management. Abceses flare up so quickly. Hugs!

Hi of course to art and anyone lurking. My apartment smells like hot jalapeños because I'm making cheesy green chili pepper cornbread. Jalepenos are only the garnish. At work we are celebrating "friendsgiving" so it is a fiesta theme.
Thanks for this!

Hugs!! <3 Thank you, I feel extremely moved, and definitely flattered and extremely touched by your gesture.

I did go against my social anxiety and accepted an invite from two people I know for dinner.

It went pretty well, though I was noticeably spacing out at times due to arguing with my brain on social anxiety, plus arguing with my brain about how absolutely unworthy I felt.

They teased me a bit whenever I spaced out but I felt reasonably safe as I know both of them experience brain fog and spaciness as well!

I learned that all 3 of us avoid celebrating our birthdays due to various personal reasons. Maybe I can build new rituals with them, because we all prefer to give rather than receive!

Later I thanked them over text and shared briefly that I enjoyed my time with them despite the deep sense of unworthiness. One of them said we should hang out more! :O

No offense taken whatsoever. I'm learning myself the difference of religion and Christianity. BIG difference.

Thank you for your honesty and please know there was no offense taken. It's been an awakening to me.
