I'm pretty curious how people on here envision how each other's therapists look like. Not sure if it's just me and my strange curiosity.

Not asking for actual pictures. Just how all would describe what our therapists look like.

I'll write mine later

The first one looks like a less cheerful dr. Ruth. She is 70ish

I don't really pay that much attention to her clothes and I have no idea about her eyes or shoes etc.

T1 was middle aged, probably between 55-60. Maybe 5'4"? She had light blonde hair, but not bleach blonde... though you could tell she dyed it. Average build. Her son and daughter knew lots of my friends, which was sort of creepy/scary. Ok REALLY creepy/scary. Even my therapist herself was friends with some of my friends on FB and they took pics together.

T2 was 32. Said so himself. Brown hair, probably 6'4" ish? Overweight... probably 350 lbs if I'm being honest. Was a decent looking guy. Had a short beard and his hair (on his head) was maybe 2 inches long. Always had bed head

T3 is my current T. She looks about 35, but I looked her up and she was 41. (lol) Brown, very curly hair. Wears up-to-date, fashionable clothing. (Idk how else to describe.) probably 5'6"? But she always wears her high-heeled, black boots that go up to her knees, so I can never tell. Pretty. Average build

I guess I was asking what we think each other's therapists look like. But this is ok too

My T has male patterned baldness. He has red hair and a red beard, trimmed close to his face.

He is average build and fairly short for a man. He's around my height which is 5'6".

He is athletic and likes going backpacking in the wilderness in colorado

When he didn't have his beard he had dimples on his cheek when he would smile

He has bright blue eyes.

He wears plaid button down shirts to work. And jeans or brown pants. Sometimes khaki shorts in the summer. He wears flip flops a lot. I asked him about that one time because he was wearing them when it was 32 degrees outside. He said at this point he just does it to freak people out

He also likes to wear mismatched patterned socks

Pdoc, looks in his mid 30's but I know by his position in the department he must me early 40's at least.
Dusty blonde bed head, despite wearing smart casual he always seems unkempt. And looking like he has just been mauled by a group of toddlers.
Hazel eyes, when they are open. Which isn't often.
5'9 , medium build. Posture suggests he doesn't work out much, if at all.
Softly spoken, can come across as a bit clueless . Don't you believe it, it's all a cunning ploy, he's one of the sharpest people I have ever encountered.

My T is mid- to late 60s. Seems tall to me, but I don't think she's that much taller than my 5'4"--she's just always wearing heels, and the way she presents herself, she just seems tall. She's always well-dressed, and has said Nordstrom is her favorite store. Fairly short brown hair (dyed to cover grays, I assume). I want to say her eyes are hazel, but they could be brown. No glasses, unless she has to read something. Always looks pulled together, like makeup on, hair done, etc. (I mentioned this to her once recently, and she laughed and said, "That takes work, honey!")

Marriage counselor is in his early 50s (he told us when we asked), about 5'5", maybe 5'6", also with male pattern baldness, but with dark brown/black hair that's usually really short. Clean-shaven. Wears glasses. Deep brown eyes. Kinda nerdy looking. Thin/athletic build. He...does not look pulled together. Tends to wear dress shirts or suit jackets that are too big for him (after we left one time, H referenced the Talking Heads "Once in a Lifetime" video, and now I can't get that out of my head if he wears that jacket.) I want to be like, "You know, they make fitted and slim fit dress shirts, right?" Sometimes wears a tie. Other times wears kinda busted up looking polo shirts with a couple buttons undone so you can see his graying chest hair. Hairy arms. Shoes often look beat up (T and I once had a conversation about this, and she was like, "Have you seen his shoes? I noticed them once in a meeting, and the soles were coming off!" He's since retired that pair).

(I'm sure you all understand why at one time I had erotic transference for this man ).

R is vibrant, the most approachable of the people I have worked with. I am terrible at guessing ages, but she looks to be in her 30s. She has mid-length brown hair, and such a forgiving and open manner.

What do you think other poster's therapists look like?

All therapists look like Dr. Friedlander from GTA V in my mind.

If I was using a cartoon character for male therapists - I would use Dr. Katz.

Or for all of them - Wile E Coyote

Mine does look like that, just shorter, strongly graying hair/beard with some male pattern baldness and a couple years plus. Otherwise quite accurate

Mine is 5 ft 6 (she told me), she's 57 (found out through Google) She was born in the Bahamas and moved to uk with her family (found out by Facebook, another website and what she has told me) she still has an accent it's stronger when she's being extra caring or being determined about something, brown eyes, just below shoulders slightly curvy hair which she always wears down, dresses smart, wears glasses when reading

I have quite generic imaginary pictures of other people's Ts. All the men have short brown hair and checkered shirts and look in their 40s, all the women are smartly dressed, bobbed hair and in their 50s until I'm told otherwise.
My T is 61, quite short, male pattern baldness and grey hair, clean shaven, glasses and very deep brown eyes.

Long term t looks like a slimmer Rob Reiner.

Sparky was a hot version of Mike Brady of Brady Bunch fame. But add a goatee.

Kashi has a striking resemblance to the Halls character #softlove guy played by that scrubs actor. See here for a chuckle:

I'm gonna answer the original question, cause it's more fun.

-AY's former T looks like Medea on a bad hair day

-art's T looks like Lily Tomlin

-Argo's T looks like Fred MacMurray in the Absentminded Professor

-SD's first T looks like the witch in Hansel and Gretel

-una's T looks like Edward Herrmann...and I have this idea her chiropractor looks like Ryan Gosling? No idea where that came from.

I like the idea of Art's t as Lily Tomlin!

When junkDNA mentioned red hair on her t Conan Obrien won't leave my head.

Stopdog's less-clueless t is Glenn Close, devil wears Prada style.

Sorry AtAt but DBC always makes me think of the character Hatchet Face from Cry Baby

And LT's marriage counselor is John Oliver. I think he is adorable. I say that because I see him as smart but maybe not stereotypically handsome but appealing anyways.

That picture AA posted was funny!

I usually imagine the voices of others' therapists rather than visual images.

My therapist is very handsome. He is in his early 70s but has the skin of a 40 year old. I have been wondering about that lately--does he get work done? Weekly facials? I'd like to see him with some hair on his face for a rugged look, like stubbles or gruff, which I've never seen on him. His skin looks so baby smooth. He also works out. He has nice thick hair which he used to style until shortly after he got married. Now it kind of goes all over the place.

I found a new picture of him online recently, and I thought-he looks handsome! Then I right clicked on it to Google search the image, and the results said "Best guess for this image: senior citizen". First I laughed-am I still idealizing? Then I felt bad. He doesn't seem like a 'senior citizen'.

Sometimes he seems really alluring to me, and I have thoughts that he does it on purpose. I think it may be transference, but whatever it is, it sometimes makes me mad at him. Usually when I see him, the first thought and feelings that arise is that he is so cute, and that he seems like a giant teddy bear. I feel love feelings inside my body as soon as I see him.

Can't really think of someone he resembles; maybe Patrick Dempsey with white hair.

What do you think other poster's therapists look like?

(Yikes-how to you get this image to appear smaller?)
Thanks for this!
