Last night I went to bed around 11pm. Woke up at 2:30 am. Was up until about 3pm when I was able to take an hour nap. It is now 12am. I just want to get some sleep

That sums up a lot of my nights, so I can relate. Sigh. I have no idea when I am going to fall asleep tonight. I am pissed off and anxious, which equals very little sleep. I could have taken valium, but I would have needed to do it much earlier. I really have to get my butt in gear kinda early tomorrow for something I am dreading.

I need to sleep, because I'm having a reviewer sit in on my lecture class tomorrow.

Notice I am not asleep and it's after midnight.

Well, Ativan did nothing. I am still up, unable to sleep, and worried. *heh* Maybe I should take some Bendryl (though I am not sure that would be a good idea after the Ativan).

I'm awake to. I was in bed at 8 and woke up at 9:30 and can't go back to sleep. I came downstairs to sit on the couch. I don't sleep unless I take something but I pretty much built a tolerance to literally everything. Scripts and over the counter sleeping aids.

Hugs to everyone who can't sleep tonight. At least it makes sense why y'all can't sleep. I don't have a good excuse. I'd take something if I could, but the only thing that I have that'd knock me out is Benadryl. I only take those in emergencies (severe food allergies).

I want to go see a Dr. about psychiatric medications, but I don't have a regular doctor right now. And I don't want a doctor to think that I'm pill seeking, even though I am really.

Ugh.

General medical doctors are not really equipped to handle psychiatric meds. You might be better off find a psychiatrist.
I took benedryl one night and all it did was make my heart race.

Benadryl does nothing for me, sadly.

Benadryl is the poor mans substitute for an epi pen, especially now that the cost of epi pens has risen so dramatically. I can't afford to build up a tolerance.

And I know Jersey is right. I've never sought out a psychiatrist before, one was appointed for me when I was younger. I'm not even sure what to look for. Would Ts generally have good psychiatrist referrals ?

I remember you posting about Klonopin not too long ago. A few years ago I was up to 4 mg a night for nightmares; it was nuts. (That was the most my pdoc would prescribe.) I stopped it w/out any withdrawal at all in a short period of time, however. My pdoc looked at me like perhaps I was an alien, ha.

I am sorry you are also having issues sleeping tonight!

Daisy, I got a great pdoc referral from a (great) T. I imagine it is a hit-or-miss kind of thing, but worth a try.

I take Klonopin when I'm extremely desperate but I had to stop doing that because I don't have a Pdoc anymore. No Pdoc means no refills.

Your T can refer you to one. But you'll have to see when you get there if you like the one that was referred to you.

I'll have to ask when I see T on Saturday. I feel like ever since my last appointment with T I've been spiraling fast. I don't want this for myself.

Sorry if I'm bothering with too many posts. I'm in a weird head space tonight. I need some sleep

The Removalists sounds like the name of a Steven King novel.

Welcome home BCM

I also had to move recently in very rapid and unexpected circumstances... it was stressful but in the end I love my new place and I hope you do too.

I'm joining those not sleeping, although I don't have to be up for a couple more hours I was startled awake at 5 am. I have no idea what happened, must have been a dream or maybe kitty feet. Blergh yesterday sucked and today won't be much better and I'm pretty sure I have a cold (dammit) so that's just the icing on the cake. . .
