It's a sunny Saturday in my city and I'm off work and instead of enjoying anything at all I'm in bed with a horrific migraine.

It's one of the worst ones I've had in a while. I think I might actually be sick.

That sounds horrible. I can't sit at work all day in the bathroom. Do you still get it even if you remove as much fiber as possible from your diet and stay away from greasy bad foods?

The dog(s) have a bug - with 3 it can be hard to know which one has the diarrhea - just that there has been some. They will give the bug to each other. Off to get pumpkin and rice for their dinner.

It was miserable at first. Ended up missing work it was so bad a couple of days. I don't anymore, now that most grease is out of my diet. It's still very soft though.

I can't believe I'm sitting in Ts waiting area talking about my poop on the Internet.

I was just gonna say rice should help until I saw your post that you were getting some. One of my dogs just had an issue with her stomach the other day. She's still more tired than the norm but her stomach seems better.

Pumpkin and rice with a little ground beef is their usual illness fare. The pumpkin really helps with diarrhea in my dogs.

When my oldest guy gets really bad diarrhea (where I am worried about him getting dehydrated quickly) - the vet's instructions are to give him 3 parts pumpkin to 1 part rice.

I'm going to ask the vet about the that for my senior dog when I take him for his check up. He's 14 so when something is bothering his stomach, I worry about quick dehydration as well. Hope your pups feel better quickly!

Voices have lessened. They were pretty much constant there last week. Now they are off and on... Sporadic... Hopefully that is a sign that they will be ****ing off soon

They are the WORST.

Really glad to hear the voices are lessening, JD! I hope they're on their way out. Enjoy your trip today.

I took a single paracetamol and amazingly that has had a slight effect on my migraine. I mean, I still feel completely terrible but I'm managing not to cry? I can't take anything stronger because of my stupid medication phobia.

Gonna lie very still in the dark and watch something mindless on netflix.

Thanks for the caring, couch

Migraines are awful--I hope you feel better soon. Caffeine can help. And lots of water.

Captgut, when you find out your on someone's ignore list..try not take it personal. They were probably triggered by something or perhaps just a case of different personalities and opinions. Doesn't make you wrong. Stick with us on the couch. Hugs.

I've never ever found you annoying, Capt. It might be that they found your posts triggering or something like that. I know I feel very sad for you sometimes and maybe they did too and it was too much for them.

Or maybe they're just not a very nice person! I dunno. Please try not to take it to heart though.

Judicious use of the ignore button is just good self care. As in real lfe, not everyone on a forum is going to share points of view, problems etc. use or non-use has nothing to do with either party being nice or not. In fact, an argument can be made that use of the ignore button is an act of kindness.
I've never found that assuming you know why someone does or does not do something is a good plan. Others are rarely accurate with me and I don't assume I'm accurate them

Random question for anyone in the US with info on this -- if someone (brother, in my case) is receiving assistance from the government (I don't know what programs but he tells me it's collectively over $2k per month, which seems like a helluva lot for someone who is able-bodied like him), do they need to show up in person regularly to collect it?

He messaged asking me to send $$$$$ because he's in the motherland and so apparently, the government agencies / programs have stopped his payments (he's designated someone as a proxy or something but that's not working out as expected, it seems).

The whole situation is striking me as suspicious (not to mention ridiculous) and he's not forthcoming on the details. So, I'm kinda wondering.
