Thank you
No, they have to operate. But they'll tell, will it be only one surgery, or two. Or three ://

Wow that's... I'd be scared. Do you know when the surgeries will take place? Sorry you're going through this...

I just paid all my bills. I have around... 60$ left. I won't get more money till october/november (My parents transfer some money every month, but that's barely enough to pay rent + health insurance). Uhm.

Hihi! *puts on couch-waitress work clothes*

Doesn't matter anyway. I'll get less scholarships as soon as I start working, so I won't have more money.

I can't take loans either (banks aren't allowed to give out money to students, because legaly, the parents have to pay. It's to "protect children from getting in too much debt". They rather have me sue my parents). I could stop paying for health care, but that would mean I can't see T anymore (and they'd probably enforce paying after a few months).

Sorry for venting. I've been over this at least a 10000 times in my thoughts for the past few years. It's not getting any better

I'll have a large latte and a bakewell tart, please.

That's interesting that students aren't allowed loans. When I was eighteen my bank sent me a credit card with £1500 on it and I very quickly spent it - of course I did. It was a terrible thing for them to do, of course I wasn't capable of being responsible with that money! I mean, maybe some less impulsive teenagers might have been. Not me, though.

But you're not eighteen! You're not a child! You're an adult. So in that context it seems ridiculous.

Can you ask your parents for some extra money?

Here you go:
Couch 143: The Mr. Rogers Love Transformation

Couch 143: The Mr. Rogers Love Transformation

The point is to protect young adults... I do get that. The government can give out specific loans if they see that the scholarships aren't enough. They only grant them in "special circumstances" though (like: your parents are poor but you won't get scholarships because your parents would have to sell their house to actually be able to pay for your studies).
The only reason I get scholarships at all is that my university has a special fond to support their students (because they see it as impossible to work besides their curriculum).

I'll have to. The first time I had to ask them for money we ended up at a mediation body. Better than suing I guess.

And I couldn't explain my expenses anyway. They don't know about T. Or any other of my medical conditions.

And I was on vacation a few days ago (my BF paid for the entire trip, so), how do I dare to ask them for money?

Yeah - it was really weird actually. I never requested it and my income was nowhere near enough to justify £1500. It's like they knew that I would spend it and start my adult life immediately in debt Banks are evil.

I have never had a credit card since. I am not good with money.

Mom: you're doing it wrong
Me: what?
Mom: Everything

Thanks mom, I'm crying again :/

Parents: You can tell us everything, we're ready to help you. We won't judge.
Also parents: You're bad, you're stupid, you're wrong. You're so sad, that's disgusting. You're seeing a T? That's so stupid.

I'm sorry... *handsover tissue*
Your parents seem to be sending very misleading signals... They definitely do judge you. Being sad isn't disgusting at all, it's human. Seeing a T is self care.. I wish your parents would understand that. You're not doing anything wrong

Wow, I miss a day and a half on the couch and it blows up. I tried to read it all but only got past about 7 pages and gave up. Lol.

I saw all the book collections. I too am one of those people who had to downsize due to many different moves. I barely have any books now.

I slept in till 10ish this morning (it is 11ish now). I was up until about 6:30am though doing school work. So in reality, I only had a normal sleep. Lol.

The resident dog is relaxing on my bed.

I still have a bit of my room to clean. Heh. I am taking forever. I have a bunch of empty soda cans and bottle to put in the recycling bin again.

I called the Aristada patient support line this morning to see if they received my application yet. They said they had and it was being finalized, but I did qualify and they would fax a copy of the copay assistance card to my doctor and I could pick it up from them. I guess after I get that, I can have pdoc send a script to the pharmacy and get the ball rolling. I am sure the pharmacy will have to order it as it is not a commonly dispensed drug. Now I get to stress over how different it will be than the Invega. I was accustomed to the Invega burn while it was being injected...now I will have to adjust to a new one (if any).

I will call my pdoc's office later today to see if they have the faxed card and see if I can pick up a copy. Then to have them let pdoc know he can prescribe it. Big steps...

Actually got a call-back about 24 hours exactly. Record time.

Now I'm nervous. Does this deviation from normal behavior mean something?!

Haha

Morning Couch.
