Welcome to the couch, old and new! A place to hang out - sometimes you get immediate feedback, sometimes you don't.

Shouting, "Cool Whip" tends to bring others out from between the cushions if you're feeling lonely.

This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.

It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience...

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

Navajo Rabbit = Gah!

Grab a cushion and make yourselves comfy!
Thanks for this!

On Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: "Transformations", 143 is used to mean "I love you". 1 meaning I for 1 letter, 4 meaning Love for the 4 letters, and 3 meaning You for the 3 letters. Reportedly, Fred Rogers maintained his weight at exactly 143 pounds for the last thirty years of his life, and associated the number with the phrase "I love you"

Yep...I grew up watching Mr. Rogers. I don't remember the transformation episode though, but that was quite a while ago. Mid 80's.

Well, morning meds taken. Waiting for 8am to hit to call the Aristada careline to see if I would qualify for copay assistance. I just want to know before I bring it up to pdoc. I don't want to mention it to him then find out I don't qualify and be back in a situation that I cannot afford my medication.

Then, it will be off to my interview. Which reminds me...I need to print out a resume.

Odd experience... I sat down on a park bench on my way to the doctor. An old man and younger woman conversing in French on the next bench over-- I can scrape by in French so I'm half-listening. After a bit they stand up to go and the man says, "hmm, that girl over there looks very sad," and the woman says "shall we console her?"

In fact I am feeling very peaceful and well.

They walk toward me and when they are within an arm's reach, facing me head-on, the woman hisses "my god, but we're in Boston, not France!" and they scuttle away awkwardly.

I'm dying to know how they would have consoled me!

I am hanging out in my disaster of a house with the workman; I am getting almost all new flooring. My father will be here in a few hours to relieve me of this duty, but I may lose my mind by then. I hate noise. And random people in my space (& their smells). And the dust, dust, dust!

Interview felt like it went well. I was the first candidate they interviewed. They have interviews set up into next week. They said they would call either way. Hopefully they really will. A lot of schools in the past have said that then didn't.

Called the Aristada co-pay assitance information line. They gave me the link to the application. I downloaded the application. It says I have to be being treated for schizophrenia to qualify. Grrr... I am schizoaffective. It's related to schizophrenia, but is not schizophrenia. There are no drugs (except Invega) approved for Schizoaffective. Pdoc can't lie and say I have schizophrenia when I don't. That would be unethical to do to get me to qualify for the program. I guess I will still mention it to pdoc and see what he thinks. Or if he has any other suggestions. I hate my luck. I can't take pills and injections are so darn expensive and not covered by insurance. Except my CVS insurance will cover Aristada. It would just be a 200-300 buck copay. Hahaha, can't afford that. I guess I am screwed. I don't want to be psychotic, but I guess that is inevitable.

There is something on the wall that may or may not be a bug, but I don't feel like getting up to look.

Ugh God I absolutely hate doctors

I can pee but I have to push a lot and it takes like 5 minutes. Like if I don't push I just sit there and nothing comes out
