I love pancakes. Any suggestions of where to start on the nickname front? I was never allowed a nickname or to give them so it's foreign to me but I do enjoy the idea 😊.

Travel safely @@ do you sedate the cats? The worst thing we did was sedate our cat, the strangling noises on the hour ride were excruciating

Pick some habit/idiosyncrasy/striking feature? Like Blackie if she always wears black.

MC shared a story about how they're the only Jewish family in his daughter's group of friends. He said her friends started referring to him as "the hot Jew" (which...I mean, I adore the guy, but...). And then they realized that sounded like "Achoo!" so they started referring to him as "Snot" or "Dr. Snot." (There's a decent chance he totally made that story up.)

*Random boring post*

I'm going to dinner with my father at 4:00. There will be 6 of us. My mother and father, my sister and her husband and me and my husband. I guess since we are going to dinner that means I don't have to get a gift. Splitting the bill between my sister and I will be enough of a gift. My other sister is coming to visit for a bit but not coming to dinner-which is good. Her, her H and their 3 kids are going to dinner somewhere else by themselves.

I need to clean but I'm not motivated to do so. I *should* do it so I feel more at peace going into the work week. I also need to hit the supermarket-which maybe I'll do after dinner. I made dinner reservations at 4 in hopes to be home by 6, chill, bed by 9 and up at 6 for work. I don't think I actually need 9 hours of sleep, but it seeems to be what my body wants the past few weeks.

My parrot is just repeating the dogs names on an endlkess loop. Warning---we have 7 dogs. Unusual I know .
All morning. Loudly . "Tyrion! Badger!Dragon! Kota! Thor! Odin! Fenris!" 5 second pause. Repeat the list at top volume. This has been going on for over an hour and I can't get him to say anything else.
Glad I am leaving for work shortly.

I want to send a warm thank you to the couch for saving me last night. After H and I got home from dinner, I had the burning desire to text roboT and tell him that he sucks at his job and that I hate him. Then I remembered the couch recommends not drunk texting T, so I didn't. Way to look out for me in advance, guys!

On the nickname front, mine for T comes from a conversation he and I had during session. I posted about it a while ago.

Those are some great dog names, BayBrony, but I can imagine it would get pretty frustrating....

Sometimes I stalk trashy drug addicts from my hometown on Facebook
Don't call me out for using that term either cause I used to be right there with them

While I get entertainment from it and the idiocy I do feel quite sad as I used to be those people

However I just found out a guy I knew and hung around with for years died in 2011

I'm not shocked tbh. Lots of my buddies from those days are dead or headed there

It does put things into perspective for me.

What makes me laugh is that a few months ago I was SUPER proud of him for learning the new puppies ' names ( Tyrion, Dragon, badger).. I was all excited "now he knows ALL the dog's names!!! What a smart bird!!"....i didn't expect him to enjoy saying them quite so much

This reminds me of a kids' book series I read while younger about a farmer with eleven children. I forget his name, but I remember all his kids' names, because at least a few times each book he would summon them with "Will jill hester chester peter polly tim tom mary larry and little clarinda!" Or that was how the book printed it. They were all twins except poor clarinda at the end.

Eta: I had excellent pancakes for breakfast. Then I slept. Now I am watching other people spoil my cats.

Alas for my sister, yes.

She got this idea because she once called my mother on her cell around 2 am Boston time by accident and the housekeeper answered. For which there are surely other possible explanations.

Yeah, she lives in. She has her own room. Does all the cooking and oversees everything else that needs doing.

She was on my father's staff - she's only mid-50s now - and I find it helpful to have someone around since my mother seems to be aging fast.
