Erm, can I have a brookie with my coffee? I really need a brookie.

What is it with people who plonk a bunch of change on the counter instead of into my waiting open palm? F*** those people. You know what I mean, JD? #retailproblems
Thanks for this!

Ikea sells this amazing nylon tape that you can iron into a fabric thing to shorten it. It's brilliant... you just measure how much you want to take off, iron a crease in, lay the tape in the crease, then iron over a damp cloth. It melts and fuses the fabric together and then you just cut off any extra.

HOW AWESOME IS THAT

I thought I was going to be hand stitching those curtains but then my friend whipped this stuff out. Honestly the longest part was just ironing the curtains on her mini ironing board.

As a 5'0 person who has to shorten everything..... I am very excited about this stuff.... but I also wonder how well it stands up to routine wash and wear.

And trying to pry all those coins off the counter with short fingernails is hard

YES!

It was even worse when I worked behind a bar and people would plonk the coins into a puddle of beer or sticky residue...

My gyn's finger nails are sooooo long. I always wonder how she can do her job like that (she obviously can... I'm in love with her as much as you can be in love with a gyn. She's the only doctor that ever reacted great when she saw my sh scars)

Eeeeeeeeeekkkkk long fingernails in general give me heeby jeebies (pobably because I have never, ever had them and never ever will)

Especially when i watch people typing or trying to use a touchscreen.... doing that weird wrist/hand contortion so that the nail doesn't get in the way of the finger.

morning couchies! i'm up with the birds, can't sleep, woke up at like 4:30 and stared at the ceiling with tears in my eyes and super-strong feels about my t mess. I wish I knew the way out of this. as the sun comes up and daylight arrives i'll feel better.

i've never had long fingernails. i bite them off constantly. i know it's a gross habit but i can't stop doing it oh well.

I really need this shamanic clearing thing I'm going to today. it's not til noon, and it's only 5:40am now, but it'll be here soon enough I guess. It's my Reiki Master that's doing the sessions today so I know her well enough that I'll share a little of what's going on with her. I'm sure it will help a lot to if nothing else clear out some of the negative energy/emotions that I took on from t that isn't even mine to be bearing. Liike that article somebody posted not long go - I carry a ton of rocks in my backpack that belong to other people.... maybe E can help me put some of those down today.

I am feeling better already just writing about this.

I managed to go to starbucks.

I have no problem with tourists who take an eternity to order. But 10min is definitely too long, especially if only one cashier has open.

Yeah I guess thinking about it I sometimes put paper bills on the counter. But it's more so that I can start finding the right coins without delaying the process. The coins though, I always wait for them to hold out a hand.

What drives me nuts also is- as a customer, when someone puts change in your hand and it's coins on top of the bills so that the coins slide off.

But when I spent time in Korea, I learned it was extremely rude and demeaning to hand people the cash directly. They sometimes have special little plates for the exchange to occur. I think because the gesture of holding your hand out is associated with begging.

Right? If I know I'm going to take awhile making a decision I let the person behind me go in front me while I decide. It's just the polite thing to do.

Oh, they had already made a decision. Just kept changing it every few seconds...

Apparently my laptop has turned itself on in my bag over the weekend. So no battery left. I came here to learn but that's kind of hard without my notes etc. meh.

Starbucks makes it confusing and hard in my opinion. Their sizes are odd and it is hard to find the non-foo foo stuff or understand what things are.
I rarely go there - usually only if traveling and there is no local shop open or nearby. Or if at an airport early in the morning.

I do think their menu is arranged very badly. But I always get one of the same 3 or 4 drinks.

I absolutely REFUSE to use their stupid sizes. Ffs

Now I want a chai tea latte. I think I'm going to stop and get one on the way back from my shamanic thing.
